“Stopped by on a whim to make sure I tried some Oregon wines while I was visiting Portland. I had a wonderful time and tried some delicious wines. Met the owners who were as nice as could be. I ordered a flight of three wines and also ordered the olives. the wines were very good, and the olives were so good I had to ask what kinds they were. Seems like a great place to enjoy some wine and food. I wish I could've stayed longer and gone back another time. They also have a bottle shop attached so if you find one you really like you can take it home with you.”

“Just recently I discovered Syndicate. Not only are the owners and staff friendly, but the ambiance is warm and welcoming. What I love about this place is the wines are carefully selected from various countries with which are for sale in the front of their establishment. They have a really great membership program with different pricing. They also host quite a few events. Their food is fantastic and my favorite dish is the bruschetta with brie. It's been great getting to know the peeps that work there and I'm having so much fun introducing my friends to this place.”

“I was very disappointed with my experience at Syndicate Bar. My boyfriend and I came in after a long day hoping to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the atmosphere you’d normally expect from a wine bar calm, relaxing , and comfortable for conversation. Instead, there was a very loud 90s music bingo event happening, and it was so loud we could barely hear each other speak without yelling. What made the experience worse was the response when I politely asked if the volume could be turned down slightly. Instead of understanding the concern, the staff member became defensive and said the event had been posted all over social media, as if customers are expected to check social media before going to a wine bar. Many people simply choose a place based on the type of atmosphere it typically offers. I completely understand hosting events, but the volume and overall environment felt much more like a nightclub/bar than a wine bar. Unfortunately, it made for a stressful rather than relaxing evening.”
