βWent there over weekend for kids birthday celebration for lunch. The food suggestions by staff was great, waited a bit for desserts but it was worth it. Nice ambiance, good staff and amazing food.β
β5/31/2026 I returned again yesterday even though a previous visit wasn't so good. A male server asked me if I wanted a refill for the lemonade. I said sure, assuming he meant a refill at no charge like almost all restaurants use the term. I actually had been avoiding going there because of the treatment. Well, yesterday, Sunday, I gave them another chance and was very pleasantly surprised. My, new to me, female server was most charming and helpful. She gave me permission to post her picture and name. I'll be doing that and more when I have more time. I just wanted to get this started. Ella is her name and I'll try to post a few pictures. She even was able to get me a few schiso leaves, something I really like. You can see them on the edge of the plate. Evidently, they were running low yesterday and she was able to get me some. Hopefully you can see Ella's smile and know how personable she is. I hope management reads this and recognizes her and how she saved a customer who was ready to never return. She's Great! 1/19/2026 I went with a friend last weekend. Took a picture because the side dish with unabashie plums and shisho leaves was awesome. Mt friend had peppers and I had the salmon flight. As always, the service was wonderful, ambiance great and the food divine. Amazingly enough, I think it's better than what I have had on Maui. Nothing like it. _-----------6 11/1/2025 As I've said, I go here often. I was there again today and decided not to write a review... just enjoy the wonderful food. Sorry, no pictures, but I will say that they have improved some of my favorite dishes since a few days ago! Really! Very difficult to believe but true. 9/22/2025 I didn't go today but have gone many times since my first review. I've had sushi π£ all over the United States and on Maui. NO OTHER PLACE except perhaps Maui has sushi as fresh, diverse menu, phenomenal environment, clean and friendly, large parking lot.. I'll just say it's by far the best sushi I've had in the USA. It has become my top 'go-to' place. I've reviewed it at least once before when I mentioned the difficulty they're having with property owners to expand. They need to, want to and should be allowed to wall in adjacent property. By far the best at everything! ========================== I just got home from an accidental visit to Bamboo Sushi. I was going to neighboring businesses. I was hungry and this is one of the few sushi places where I've never eaten. Well, it turns out that it's one of the very best I've ever visited! A big surprise. I'm only doing a short review now and hope to add to it soon. My pictures will tell most of the story. I looked at a neighboring restaurant and decided not for me. When I poked my head into Bamboo Sushi, I was immediately impressed with being greeted professionally and she was friendly too. The decor was impressive. Clean, modern. Then when I looked at the menu I knew I was going to eat there now. As I've said, I have appointments now but I'll try to post some of the pictures before I leave. Chris was my main server and he was great! He said that I could use his name but would rather not have his picture taken Manager(s), Owners, take note. Chris is a big asset to you and your business. I've been many places, he's near the top.β
βMost people do not realize It is incredibly difficult to find a gluten free sushi spot. Most places add wheat based seasonings like mirin or soy sauce to the rice or they add panko in everything. Not here! Bamboo sushi is 99% gluten free and safe for gluten allergies and especially folx with celiac disease. The panko is gluten free and the soy sauce on the table is tamari... they dont even have the wheat filled version in house. I dined with my family who dont have allergies (must be nice) and they didnt realize everything was gluten free because its all just so good. In fact, they almost slapped the sushi out my hand when they noticed the crunch! They couldn't believe it was gluten free because they couldn't taste a difference themselves. There are only two items on the menu that contain gluten and they are labeled with a "g" its the burger and another dish that contains a wheat based sauce (which my family tell me is also delicious) . Other than that, all the sushi, all the tempura, all the yummy sauces, and all the fried everythings are GLUTEN FREE!!! Not only that, everything is fresh and full of flavor. The Sunset Roll and the green machine are my favorites, while the honey wasabi chicken bites on the happy hour menu is to die for. The sweetness of the honey really complements the sudden yet subtle spice of the wasabi while the crispy fried chicken exterior leads the way to the juicy and tender interior. Just... perfection. The sunset roll uses fresh crab (no glutinous imitations here) avocado, cucumber, spicy tuna, and gf tempura crunchies as well as this delicious spicy aioli. The flavor combinations provide another balance of sweet and spicy. Just too good to miss. If you're a sushi lover, dont sleep on this spot!β
βI really am at a loss for words here but i'll try. We came here after attempting to go to our favorite conveyor belt sushi which was recently closed to our suprise! One review specifically had mentioned how fresh the fish was even in comparison to maui, and my god were they right. We went to maui 2 months ago and have not eaten seafood since as we were dismayed it might not even get close. So happy we were wrong! The balance of each roll was so well thought out, its easily become my favorite sushi experience. Service was also very attentive and friendly! 11/10 will be back. If you are unsure about the more crowded dining experience or wait times, just do it at least once. It is 100% worth the price and the wait! The island hopper and bamboo dragon were so incredibly packed with unique flavor, we will be returning. If I never tried sushi before, I could onlu hope one of my first rolls was anything like this. We will be returning to try the entire menu, although it will be impossible to not reorder favorites. I can't imagine going wrong with an order here. The attention to detail is very obvious ππ€€ thank you all!β
βWhether you are dining in or taking out, bamboo sushi always hits the spot. My favorite part is the gluten-free menu and how the servers always ask about allergens! Makes dining out a lot less stressful!β
