At Bamboo Sushi, we make every decision with the highest regard for this world and the people in it. From transparency in how we source our food, to reducing our carbon footprint, to enriching the communities that we live in. The Portland born Japanese eatery goes beyond sushi, extending to shareable plates, rolls, nigiri and a delicious wagyu burger, with cocktails and sake to boot.
“Bamboo sushi has a clean, modern and comfortable atmosphere. The food is wonderful. The nigiri and sashimi were highlights, both so fresh and clean. The salmon was buttery and we didn’t need soy sauce to enjoy it. I loved the veg role “green machine” the sauce they use was amazing. I’m not a huge tuna fan, but the tuna on the roles we tried was good. I will definitely come back!”
“Had dinner here today and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, and the hostess was welcoming—we were seated right away when we arrived. The sushi selection is fresh and delicious, and the prices are affordable. If it’s your first time, I recommend trying the classic hand-rolled sushi. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, California roll, spicy salmon roll, and miso soup. Everything was excellent! Emily, our server, was sweet and attentive. She checked on us often, and her smile made the experience even better. Great sushi and plenty of shopping nearby. Highly recommend!”
“If anyone rates this place under 5 stars… who hurt you? Hands down the best sushi in Seattle. I leave Bamboo Sushi so happy every single time. Everything is perfection, the food, the ambiance, the service. Zero notes. Shoutout to Jomar, who was absolutely amazing. We learned more about fresh wasabi, he treated us to a Seahawks roll (go Hawks! ), and helped us sign up for their new rewards program. Truly the best service. Some of my favorites: spicy tuna crispy rice, the Hoki Poki box, and honestly any of the sashimi, all unreal. I do wish there were a location closer to downtown, but it’s worth the trek to U Village (and a little shopping afterward never hurts). The team is always friendly, fast, and the quality is 1000/10. Thank you, Bamboo Sushi, see you again very soon.”
“This was our first time trying Crispy Rice sushi, the texture was really cool and went well with the flavor of the citrus salmon. They have a very original set of signature rolls. We tried the Friday the 13th and hoki poki box and loved both. The karaage was good, but not as crispy as I usually like. The fried rice was made with sushi rice, which I didn’t really enjoy but my wife thought it was delicious.”
“We were hoping for amazing food because of the reviews and location, but for the price (almost $100 for a good appetizer, 3 entrees, and a drink, you could get more good food at other places for that price) and the wait (15-20 minutes), the food was just okay. The portions were small, and out of the 4 dishes we ordered, 1 was good (chicken karage), 1 was just okay (tuna poke), and the other 2 weren't good (sushi and burger). There were a lot of taro chips though! The sushi was this big, pale, round thing sliced very thinly which looked a bit odd, and had very little tuna. The poke was a small bowl with a mountain of taro chips on the side. The tuna was good and fresh, but that was about it, not very filling, especially since there was no rice, just seaweed, I think. We were still hungry after eating but didn't feel like getting food from another restaurant because we were just sad about how much we'd already paid. I don't know, maybe it was an off day? The customer service was really great though, the ladies at the front were nice and polite, and our server Ruby (and that other guy who covered for her during her break) was kind and treated us well, unlike other stores in that shopping center.”
