“Went here with my dad a couple months ago and loved it!! Super fresh fish and a good variety of options. Get a reservation before hand and don’t be late because they will charge the card on file. It’s it a great spot in Kendall Yards, and there’s the river and ice cream spot if you want to go after. I also went again to this spot for a date night! Fingers crossed it works out with him so we can go to this spot again. We got the Spokane roll which was my favorite and mystery boy liked the dragon roll better. Both were fire, I highly recommend!!”

“We eat here as much as possible. It is a two plus hour round trip but well worth the drive. Great food, great service, and we have never been disappointed. There are two separate areas to eat. Upstairs is a smaller maybe quieter dining area and downstairs is a little noisy but more atmosphere with a full bar and outdoor patio when it is warm enough. We love it and will continue to go back often.”

“HANDS DOWN the best sushi in the Spokane area! Umi absolutely nails it every time. The fish is incredibly fresh, the rolls are creative without being over-the-top, and everything tastes high quality and thoughtfully made. Beyond the food, the vibe is what really sets it apart. The restaurant on the main level is great for all but the Lounge downstairs (21+) is the best!!! It has such a fun, going-out energy — perfect for date night, girls’ night, or when you just want dinner to feel like an experience instead of just a meal. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, and the service is always friendly and on point. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the John Taco! It’s perfect for anyone wanting all the deliciousness of a sushi roll without the rice. So flavorful and such a fun twist — it’s a must-order every time we go!!! If you’re craving sushi and want amazing food and a fun night out, this is the spot!”

“Truly cannot say enough good things about the food quality and the service from Helaina! It was my sisters birthday and she truly went above and beyond, bring out a roll with a candle and wrote in the sauce happy birthday! It made my sister feel so special and that’s not all! My mom mentioned how much she loves the old fashion cherries and she brought a whole dish out of them not once but twice! She was truly incredible and deserved to be recognized! 10/10 will be back!”

“Umi is a must in Spokane. I visit Spokane a few times a year and come here every time. Even gone back to back days. Some of the best General Tso in the state and a large enough portion for leftovers. The sushi rolls are top notch and their spicy mayo is incredible. They don’t skimp on sauce. Head downstairs to the bar for a nice view of the city and great cocktails”
