“Okay… this place is awesome. This was our first trip to Portland, and I have to say, this place completely lived up to, and honestly exceeded, the Portland hospitality people talk about. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the overall vibe made us want to stay way longer than we probably should have. But the real highlight of the night was the service. Mai was our server, and she absolutely made the experience. I could sit here and write an entire review about the sushi alone (which was incredible), but what really stood out was Mai’s friendliness, energy, and genuine willingness to make recommendations and make us feel welcome. It didn’t feel scripted or forced, it felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and wants people to have a great experience. At one point I’m pretty sure we would’ve trusted Mai enough to let her just take over ordering for the entire table and guide us spiritually through the menu. Seriously though, people like Mai are what make restaurants memorable. Great food gets people in the door, but great people are what make them come back. I would return again and again not just because of the food, but because experiences like this are hard to find. Thank you for the awesome experience, the great conversation, and for making two first-time Portland visitors feel genuinely welcomed.”

“Stopped by quick bite since saw this place on Resy and was amazed. First, very hospitable and very friendly staff who gives you recommendations and check on you without being noisy. Also I came during Portland Dining Month so had to try their offer and it was great. Miso soup very flavorful and full, chicken is amazing and not overly dry. Sushi - amazing. Freshly made and delicious. Atmosphere in this place was very chill and relaxing, inviting for conversation. Recommend to visit for sure. Also their bar is good, I didn’t have a drink but will be back for it”

“I’ve visited the Bamboo restaurant on 23rd in Portland many times, and it’s always a great experience. The service is consistently friendly, and that’s one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The staff is welcoming and always happy to see us. The food is really good, and the menu has plenty of nice options every time. It feels great to walk in, enjoy a good meal, and spend time with family in such a comfortable atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place! 👌”
