Bar West is an Italian restaurant in the Northwest Portland neighborhood of Portland.
“This was such a fun and cute place, with delicious food/drinks. I went there for brunch during espresso martini month. I tried both their regular and monthly special martini. Both were delicious!! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals! I got the eggs Benedict and it was yummy! I wish it had a different side though, I’m sure you could substitute it with potato’s or something. Where we sat there was lots of space. Our server seemed busy, it was a Sunday brunch haha. But was super nice! My friend got there early to get our name on the waitlist. I can’t wait to go back!”
“We had a party with family and friends in one of their smaller event rooms. The food, service and ambiance were terrific!! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was a perfect place to host our event and appealed to all ages. In addition to their amazing food, we had incredible and friendly service. Megan helped us in the process of reserving the room and preparing for our party. Andria was very attentive, helpful and service oriented. She truly made our evening even more special. We highly recommend Bar West to anyone. You will definitely enjoy!!!”
“First time here and I was blown away. I don't normally do brunch, but here... I most certainly will again. The food, the service, the atmosphere—everything is carefully considered. The menu and portions are perfect, with an excellent array of gluten-free dishes (that don't taste GF, if you know what I mean), including brown-butter pancakes, Calabrian fried chicken, and Sicilian chickpea fritters. The radicchio salad: gorgeous and chef's kiss. I also never get mimosas, but ordered the house-made cranberry cordial one and it was divine. Whether you're looking for a gluten-friendly brunch or dinner in Portland (they have gluten-free pizza dough that I will absolutely be going back for), or just a damn good bite to eat, this farm-to-table spot is a must.”
“I've been wanting to go to Bar West for months and I am so happy I finally got the chance to experience this amazing bar within the Nob Hill neighborhood. The elements that make Bar West unique and a place I will continue to go to are: 1) The drinks (sheesh they are good) 2) The interior design and vibe. The drinks here were absolutely fantastic (especially the cocktails). As a wine drinker, I'm always delighted when cocktail forward places offer wine and their selections here were pretty good. The cocktails were amazing, I loved the use of garnishes to add a scent to the drink (more places need to do this). The interior of Bar West is my favorite out of any bar I've been to. After walking past this place for years, I never knew what I was missing out on. The inside feels like you're sitting in someone's home, in large part to the cozy lighting and the easy on the eye colors within the bar. The decorations fit with the vibe and make it an incredibly relaxing place to enjoy food and drinks. Whoever designed the interior of the restaurant I applaud you, amazing work!! The only thing I would improve was the pizza cook time, I felt it could've been in the oven for a little longer to make it less soggy, otherwise our food was good. To bring everything together, the staff here were very friendly and attentive, they provided great service. I highly recommend Bar West and I will undoubtedly be back in the future!”
“Idk how to feel about this place. The drinks were good. The food was also pretty good, I guess. But I wasn't blown away. Like I could have done without the food, but yet I still ate all of it. Anyway, cute, cozy spot lol.”
