Honoring our French heritage, Suzor was born from fond memories of family meals in France's Loire Valley and the desire to make simply elegant, food-friendly wines. In this spirit, we focus on intimate wine gatherings. Full disclosure, our experiences embrace old world charm which means no fancy winery nor tasting room. We do promise beautiful wines, thoughtful conversations and the discovery of small artisans products. It is simply our family, good company and a genuine window into the world of wine.
“This beautiful winery is a hidden gem! If you are looking for a vineyard that tastes older vintages ( think 2014 to 2018) look no further! Their winemaker takes care in the aging process and you reap the benefits as a patron. The wines are beautiful, aromatic and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate.”
“Beautiful vineyard real close to town, lovely lawn and patio setting outdoors and tasting room inside. Great staff, super friendly and available to assist. Will definitely be back to enjoy the views and pleasant array of wines to taste (a few whites and plenty of reds). The white Pinot noir was our favorite and took home a bottle to enjoy into the eve!”
“Fantastic winery! Really beautiful tasting room and outdoor space. The wine flight was reasonably priced and the wine was delicious!! They don't have a kitchen but they have a super fun charcuterie vending machine. You can pick exactly what you want and the super friendly staff will take it and present it beautifully for you on a board. We will definitely be back!”
“Andrew, at the tasting room, was super helpful, friendly and let us down the paths of both both tastings that were offered. The story behind Hammacher is so fun. It's kind of like a boutique version of Ponzi, which is close by and shares the same origin story. The H chardonnay was super intriguing, with flavors and characters that I would not automatically associate with chardonnay. It turns out these characteristics are not uncommon in Oregon chardonnay. Oaky in the nose, lightly oaky on the palate, which is always intriguing to me. The 2014 Hammacher pinot noir is lots of fun with tobacco, leather, dark plum, and 3 or 4 other flavors that I never quite identified. This will require more study. Definitely leaving with 2015 Belize Vineyard Eola, Amity Hills, and the 2014 previously mentioned. Thank you so much for your hospitality and guidance, Andrew.”
“Gorgeous grounds and warm inviting tasting room, but their wines left a lot to be desired. We didn't enjoy any we tasted, and the Pinot Noirs were served cold.”
