“This place is a gem. The oysters are fresh and the cocktail menu is creative without being over the top. I had the halibut special last time and it was perfectly cooked. The building itself has a ton of character and the bar area is great if you are just popping in for a drink and some appetizers. My only complaint is that it fills up fast on weekends so either make a reservation or get there early. One of my favorite spots in Bellingham for sure.”

“The oysters were the BEST I’ve ever had. Service was quick and responsive, great suggestions for food. The atmosphere wasn’t too loud and there was enough seating on a Friday night. Everything was clean, including the bathroom. The Happy Hour had decent choices too. I highly recommend the Basque region aperitif with the oysters- fantastic lemon notes go well with the oysters. Beef carpaccio was fantastic too. I do NOT recommend the beet salad. I’ve never seen beets served in that big of chunks, it was impossible to eat the whole “salad”.. I would call it more of a roasted veggie plate. The beets needed to be cut thinner and maybe given a better dressing. Avoid it.”

“Such a hidden gem! The oysters were incredibly fresh, the mussels full of flavor, and the tiger prawns juicy and delicious. After a long hike, this was the most satisfying dinner I could ask for. Thank you for the amazing food and cozy atmosphere!”

“Went for the wife's birthday and was very impressed. The service was great. Attentive and upbeat. The food came quickly and was very delicious. Flavorful and palette pleasing. They definitely aim for quality. I will definitely be returning and recommend you check them out if you're looking for an upscale bite or maybe some raw oysters.”

“I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is beautiful, which is why I gave it a second chance after a disappointing first visit. Unfortunately, after going twice in the last month, I can honestly say the food and service have been consistently underwhelming. The first time we visited, we had a larger group (around 7 people), which gave us the opportunity to try a wide variety of dishes. Unfortunately, nothing really stood out in a positive way. The poutine had potential, but most of the fries underneath were soggy and seemed undercooked. The tacos were extremely bland even after adding salt, they still lacked flavor, and no one at our table wanted to finish them. The ribeye was disappointing as well. While it came with chimichurri, the steak itself lacked seasoning and flavor. The oysters were okay, but nothing memorable. The fish and chips were also soggy and lacked the crisp crunch you expect from good fish and chips. The mussels tasted off, almost like they may have been a day past their prime, which was concerning. Because the setting is genuinely nice, I decided to give the restaurant another chance but unfortunately, the experience felt very similar. Beyond the food, what stood out both times was the service. From the moment we sat down, the staff seemed irritated, bothered, or inconvenienced by guests being there. We never felt welcomed, and the overall energy made dining there uncomfortable. I hate leaving negative reviews, especially because the atmosphere has so much potential, but for the price point, the food felt like a waste of money and the overall experience left a lot to be desired.”
