“The food was great and the service was pretty good for a busy Friday evening. We were a table of 7 and for the most part we were all pleased with our dishes. The pimiento cheese dip was spot on and definitely shareable for 4 people. They serve it with these toasted Texas toast style bread which I had never had before. I ordered the burger as my entree and it was delicious 😋. I don't know how they prepare the onions for it but it was like a French onion soup sandwich. I will definitely go back because parking was plentiful and that's an advantage in itself for downtown.”

“Second review, three months later, March '26. (See below for my first) Home run once again. Excellent cocktails, salad, entree, and dessert. This place doesn't miss. Had the Pompano special, excellent! We had a large party (7), and one was late, arriving after we ordered. The kitchen worked magic to get his food out just minutes after the rest of the table. Another great server and all around fantastic experience. I can't give the food any more stars, but just one bite of anything on the menu and you know you're in the right place. This will be a regular stop for my Birmingham trips. One of my favorite restaurants ever. First review: Spectacular. Cocktail, appetizer, entree, desserts, all were impeccable. We had no reservations, open bar service was totally fine for two of us. Service was excellent, from backstory on restaurant, thorough description of the drinks, menu, and specials, and making a local connection with travelers. The Basically Bourbon was nice twist on some classic flavors, the Crab dip set the bar high and the Surf and Swamp was an excellent combination. As a visitor from St. Louis, I can't recommend the Gooey butter cake enough! No photos, but great presentation all around as well.”

“Service was excellent- from host seating us to server engagement. Ambiance was nice and clean but it was just loud all around without any music playing; so It was hard to hear our server talk and for us to talk to each other at the table. Food was okay. For the price it was not worth the portion or quality. The appetizers were better than the main entrees. The cheesecake was yummy!”
