“Went here for an anniversary dinner and had a great time. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. Everything we ate was delicious and filling. The Crispy Duck Confit was exceptional and I highly recommend it. We sat in the main dining room, the space was filled but it was still quiet enough to speak and hear clearly.”
“I had an absolutely exceptional experience at Deuxave. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was elegant yet inviting—perfect for a special night out. The service was truly top-notch—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm without ever feeling overbearing. Every recommendation was spot on. The food? Simply outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients and the creativity behind every plate. It’s clear that great care and passion go into every detail. What made the evening even more memorable was that the chefs came out to personally welcome us—such a thoughtful and classy touch that made us feel truly valued. From start to finish, everything flowed seamlessly. If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers on atmosphere, service, and unforgettable cuisine, Deuxave is a must. I can’t wait to return!”
“There aren't many traditional French cooking restaurants left in Boston and Deuxave is our favorite. The menu changes slightly through the seasons but has the main staples throughout the year. The food is consistently well cooked and tastes great. We especially like the duck and foie gras dishes. We can always count on having a good meal here. Not a big dessert person but really like their souffles when they're baked properly although we have had some that were too soupy to eat. We like the tasting menus that add more variety to the main menu. Recently, the mocktails have been upscaled and improved in a good way with more interesting spices. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet so we can actually have conversations. The staff is friendly and efficient. We really enjoy our dining experiences here.”
“the food was pretty good, but i wasn’t blown away by anything. both duck dishes were decent, but i expect to be blown away by a duck dish from a high end french restaurant. 9-Hour French Onion Soup: this was also not as good as i expected. not a lot of cheese and it also wasn’t really melted either Crispy Duck Confit: the duck was fine. the brussel sprouts were actually the best part of this dish, though Duck Breast: this was really nothing special. it wasnt tender or anything and seemed a bit overcooked Duet of Prime Beef: the steak tartare and parmesan chips were easily the best part of the meal. the carpaccio was okay”
“Lovely restaurant with great bar seating for dinner, nice wine selection and tasty french food. I think for me it’s a 4 1/2. Everything we ate was very good but I wasn’t wowed by anything either. I was really excited to try the duo of beef and the tartare was good but for me the carpaccio was overwhelmed by the anchovy sauce it was served with. The duck confit was tender and very flavorful. Same for the duck entree. We ordered the duck medium, and it was cooked as requested. The halibut entree was also tasty but i felt the fish was a touch over. We ordered the fries because apparently they are a must have. They were very good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Both desserts were tasty.”
