Gaulart & Maliclet Fast and French

“Delicious, fast and very french! Our server was fantastic, attentive but not too pushy. The food was amazing, the Garlic Butter Shrimp had a pesto-esc sauce and plenty of shrimp for the grits. The Ham and Cheese Baguette had pickled apples and authentic mustard which went together perfectly. We reserved a table for Mother Day Brunch but it honestly wasn’t necessary, they had plenty of open spots. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable, not cramped surprisingly for the size of the building. I will definitely be going back! Such a great Charleston spot!”

“This is a must stop spot for sure! We came here for breakfast and the menu was so unique. The food was absolutely delicious! We sat outside since it was a gorgeous day, but the inside would have been just as fun! Our server was Matthew and he was great! 10/10 would recommend and come back again.”

“Such a cool little place. It has been too long. There is honestly nothing like it in the area. Truly unique and you have to experience it. Quirky setup with cool decor. Fondue, charcuterie and lots of French classics.”

“Great food, fast, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Can’t recommend enough! The only aspect that may be off putting for some, is the seating arrangement is a bit tight. You sit at counters which results in you sitting right next to other dinners. I kinda liked it though.”

“Restaurant itself was lovely. Decor was fun and colorful. Staff were great and very friendly. Food came out quickly and it was a nice respite from the heat without a long wait. Loved the menu however - my croissant was very obviously reheated and chewy and while it wasnt on the menu every item came with melon (Im allergic) which would have been nice to know. Husband had the special and said it was great and fresh. For such a tiny kitchen they seem to be making it work. Would absolutely have bought several of the sassy T shirts but the largest size was a l-xl. Bigger/taller sizes would be nice. My biggest issue however was the chairs. There are only high chairs available which meant I had to stand at the bar to eat; because of back issues I cant get up on them. Knocked a star off for that.”
