Il Bosco Ristorante is an Italian restaurant in the Historical Downtown Davidson neighborhood of Davidson.
“First of all, I absolutely love locally owned restaurants that are born out of passion and continue to stay that way. Il Bosco exemplifies this in every way. Instead of bread, when you sit down, they brought us a personal little pizza, that was probably the best pizza I’ve ever had in the area. And it was free. They have an amazing wine list, and everything we ordered was delicious. I will say that the prices are a little higher than I think they should be, but besides that, the service and the food were amazing.”
“I looked for a more upscale place to dine for a anniversary. With that I looked at places and decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed in any way. Absolutely amazing service. From start to finish the service was outstanding. It is very rare to find a place that when you ask for to go boxes they take the food back and box it yup and bring it back out to you. With that the food was outstanding. The flavors and the execution of each dish was simply perfect. Not only that the "bread" they give is not just bread but wood fired pizza which was amazing. The menu changes with the seasons and the food was so good and cooked to perfection. If your looking for upscale dining with reasonable prices and outstanding service then this without a doubt is your place. Will be back again no doubt.”
“New winter menu is outstanding, definitely a must try!”
“Small, warm restaurant in Downtown Davidson. I recommend making a reservation. Their menu changes regularly so check their Facebook for the current menu. Portion of main entree is generous. Menu is ala carte so side dish and salad are an extra charge. Our appetizer was delicious, we had the fegato.”
“The staff were lovely and attentive. Kim was absolutely delightful. However, the food was simply not good. The menu was filled with obscure and polarizing ingredients that didn’t make sense together. You could tell the staff was petrified of the chef as special requests and modifications sent them into a panic. Having eaten at some of the best Italian restaurants in the country, the culinary experience here is just bizarre. Il Bosco should find a new chef, update the decor and celebrate hearty, Milanese fare. Davidson could use something like that. It has potential.”
