Belle is a New American restaurant in the Charlottesville neighborhood of Charlottesville.
“no matter the price or what i’m doing, i always end up back at Belle!!! i love that they make so many of their things in house and also that they have house-made syrups!!! it’s expensive yes, but my food and drink never misses!!! they have phenomenal coffees, sourdough donuts, sourdough loaves, and sandwiches. it does take awhile sometimes, but i understand it get busy. parking is usually a headache, but we generally do street parking. it’s quaint on the inside and big parties generally can’t fit. the only other beef i have with belle is the customer service. the first few times we came, the girl with glasses and dirty brown, wavy hair was not warm whatsoever. she has since gotten better, but she still isn’t exactly welcoming. the dude that works the coffee counter with curly brown hair has been great from the start, along with who i think is the owner (long brown hair, always has the cutest outfits lol). i love this place and will continue to come back, but those are a few things i’ve noticed after several (like 5+) visits! i don’t have many photos, but here is my plain turkey sandwich i ordered the last two visits!”
“Truly delicious spot for breakfast/brunch and sandwiches. The donuts looked amazing but we went with the sourdough cinnamon roll - one of the best I have ever had! The #2 breakfast sandwich was incredible - buttery, perfectly grilled homemade english muffin with fluffy eggs and crispy bacon. The seasonal maple latte was also really good. It was a little on the pricier side, but for food so good we didn’t mind. You might have to wait a bit for a table if you are dining in as it was very crowded on the weekend.”
“Super friendly staff and guests, willing to share a table when it’s crowded and busy. The breads, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches are all exceptional.”
“One of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had (lemon lavender)! Fluffy, flavorful, and made with care. The coffee was delicious as well. I had the maple latte and highly recommend it. Super cute patio as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!”
“Wonderful late breakfast stop for us on our way to Harrisonburg. Sourdough like this is almost impossible to find. And I say this out of experience. I live in Germany and have been making my own sourdough bread for several years now. This place is worth a visit!”
