“I came in for some good food and solo time and got more than I expected! GREAT FOOD and a Great Environment. An exceptionally over the top bartender (Arianna) made the experience that much better. I’m not from this state but it could definitely feel like home. Awesome Service. Awesome Food. I will definitely be back! P.S. - Did I Forget To Say Arianna Rocks?! The table next to me was singing her praise and I see why now!”
“Me and a friend checked out Happy Hour for the drink specials and had a pretty chill time on the Rooftop. Our waitress was a bit eccentric but a lot of fun and very friendly. Today was the first day the Rooftop was open for the season and it was nice to sit in the sun for a bit. I wanted to try the Pear Tree cocktail but they were out of an ingredient to make it, so I had the Passion Island instead. Great flavors and the foam had a hint of coconut which made the drink even more refreshing. Both entrees were cooked well and were very generously portioned. I would suggest getting the Chicken Maple Jus on the side of the Herb Roasted Half Amish Chicken in case you don’t want it on everything, but it is perfectly balanced; not too sweet because of the maple. Overall, great place to hang out and enjoy Oak Park in an elevated way!”
“The food was delicious, I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The service was very messy, not sure if it was an off night or what. Willing to give it another shot in the future since members in the group also said their meals were yummy. Hopefully they have their staff sorted/trained soon!”
“I walked in and ordered, to go, the fried cod fish tacos, with a slight modification. They were edible, but I was very disappointed. There were four street-style tacos, but they lacked flavor. I also ordered the bread pudding which was recommended by the server. Again, no flavor. It fell completely flat. No raisins, no buttery flavor, just bread with custard baked in and covered with caramel sauce, which didn’t help much. The recipe could have used coconut milk for richness, raisins, more cinnamon, or even diced apples. This placed was one a destination for me. I used to love the skirt steak wraps, salads, and the “Mary’s” lamb burger, which they removed from the menu long ago. Too bad. I won’t be returning. The service was very pleasant.”
“The experience was not that great. The food, though, presented well, was flavorless. This was so disappointing as my family and I chose the location to celebrate a birthday. We traveled from south of Chicago. We spent over $100+ for flavorless food. When we were seated, immediately spinach dip arrived to the table. Nearly 30 mins later we were informed by the manager that the spinach dip was for a other table, and we'd be charged. After explaining what we experienced, the issue was resolved. However, I found it odd to pay for someone else's mistake. This was expressed with the manger. The spinach dip was thought to be complementary given how quickly it arrived after being seated. We had not even met our server or placed any orders. Ordered vegan tacos, baja tuna tacos, half rack ribs, burger, dragon mai tai, sprite, and amaretto sour. We likely will not return.”
