“Will come again! Employees are really kind. I got the cucumber mint lemonade, tap water (pink glass) eggplant nigiri 🍣, and broccoli “beef” (mushrooms). Breakdown of meal reviews: (1) Broccoli Beef: I found that if you pulled open the mushrooms/beef, and allowed it to soak in some of the liquid on the plate, it enhanced the flavor even more. I wish they offered a chili crisp or something that I could use to make the broccoli beef dish spicier; the only thing missing for me was heat on this dish. Despite my desire for a spicier dish, I would definitely order this again. (2) Eggplant Nigiri: The nigiri was milky once you bite into it! That was an interesting and unexpected sensory experience and flavor profile. The plating was beautiful. (3) Cucumber mint lemonade: Flavorful. I couldn't tell if it was too sweet for me, it was on the edge.”
“I live in Alaska, I ate at PLANTA for the first time back in November. It was so good that I’ve been looking forward to coming back to Chicago to eat here again! Here I am 6 months later. Mihala (I hope I spelled it right🤞🏽) was awesome, friendly and made a delicious drink! Erin also greeted me when I sat down and checked on me a few times during my meal and made sure to wish me safe travels when k left. They were awesome! I can’t wait to come back to Chicago in the fall.”
“I think the food here is really good! But I do have one suggestion — adding photos to the menu could really improve the customer experience and make the dishes more appealing. Some of the dish names are hard to imagine, even with the ingredients listed, so photos would help people understand what they are ordering and increase their appetite as well. Also, the service speed could be a little faster. That said, I still highly recommend this place! It’s a really great spot for vegetarian food. I’ve already been here twice during my short visit to Chicago, and I’ll definitely come back again!”
“A warm, intimate dinner date. The ambiance was beautiful. Soft music, dim lit, and golden decor. Server, Macy was very polite and inviting. She explained the menu well and made wonderful recommendations. The Bang Bang Broccoli was so delicious. Lightly fried and seasoned well, topped with an amazing sauce. The Crispy Rice was equally delicious, with a kick of spice, as well as being unique. Had an amazing Dragon Roll, Bak Choy, Chick'n Fried Mushrooms, Beef and Broccoli and Chilli Crab Noodles. The noodles were spicy, nutty, steaming hot ♨️. Finished off with an ice cream scooped, peanut topped brownie. Will be back for sure!”
“They had a great menu with plenty of vegan options, and it was definitely worth trying. However, I wouldn’t return because a dining experience is about more than just the food—it’s also about the service. Unfortunately, the service was consistently slow. It took 5–10 minutes to receive simple items we requested, such as a missing straw for a drink and soy sauce for the sushi. In addition, one of our drinks was brought out incorrectly. While the food was enjoyable, the overall service experience did not meet expectations.”
