PLANTA, Bethesda is a Vegan & Plant-based restaurant in the Bethesda neighborhood of Bethesda.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Spicy Tuna: Delightful, the sauce is not too spicy and there is a crispness in it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Torched and pressed: out of the ordinary but the source that comes on it is delightful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Spinach artichoke: a bit mild and liquidy but delish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Califlower wings: deliciously fried to perfection with sweet and spicy sauces 💕 ⭐⭐⭐Firecracker: tasty with a little spice but there is another flavor I'm not fond of but still good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Dragon roll: good crunch, odly a bit dry but melds all together with the avocado and sauce on top. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Volcano: slavery crunchy deliciousness on top of delightful rolls. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oyster mushroom scallops: pleasant tangy flavor, tender thick cut asparagus, charred cherry tomatoes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Calzon supreme: pretty good when you rip off pieces of basil and put it in the calzon and drizzle the sauce on with a spoon. If prefer a bit more cheese but still pretty good. On its own is a bit lacking so definitely use the basil and sauce! ⭐⭐ green Goddess Risotto: the spice they drizzle on top is good and so is the mushroom but the whole base lacks enough flavor for my taste. ⭐⭐⭐ Peri Peri cabobs: the chickpeas were unflavored besides the sauce which was decent. The creamy tahini sauce was alright. The tofu was seasoned but minimally, and the veggies were the same. The mushrooms were beautifully cooked though. Salad: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Caesar salad: the dressing is good but a little runny. The mushroom bacon did not impress me but it did have pleasant Smoky flavor. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Big Cookie w ice cream: the extra $4 for the scoop of ice cream is disappointing but still overall tasty. I've had better vegan cookies. Drink: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Salted maple macchiato: can be creamy and sweet or more coffee flavored depending on who makes it (it comes iced or hot, I like hot) ⭐⭐⭐⭐Lychee please drink: has a tart and bitterness but just slight. Gives grapefruit vibes even though it has pineapple. The bathroom beautiful but has a bit of an unpleasant odor so get in and get out (the next time I went was far better, even pleasant, so I probably just went on a bad day)”
“A friend recommended this place to me and I came an hour by subway to get to know it. I must say that I loved everything. The food was delicious, I ordered sushi and spaghettini carbonara. Also some spectacular drinks, the waiters very friendly and the manager in a black shirt much more! Thank you for the service. . I highly recommend it”
“Absolutely loved this place. The spaghettini carbonara was insanely good, and the raspberry cheesecake was just as amazing. Everything was delicious, Nilo and Jack made the whole experience even better with such warm and exceptional service. Definitely coming back!!”
“Exceptional food and amazing service! The chick'n fried mushrooms were a standout, the rainbow roll was good, and the spinach and artichoke dip were fresh and flavorful. A huge thank you to Ronnie for his kindness and for the delicious sticky toffee pudding to make my celebration feel truly special :). Such a beautiful ambiance; I'd highly recommend PLANTA as a top vegan spot in the DMV.”
“A five-star experience at PLANTA Bethesda that effortlessly blends indulgence with sophistication. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is lively and vibrant—a perfect mix of energy and elegance that sets the tone for an elevated dining experience without feeling overdone. Once the dishes hit the table, it’s clear this isn’t your average plant-based spot—it’s a full-on culinary statement. The Firecracker Sushi delivered exactly what the name promises: bold, vibrant flavors with just the right kick, wrapped in a beautifully balanced bite that keeps you going back for more. The tater tots were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and elevated far beyond their comfort-food roots with a seasoning that felt both nostalgic and refined. But the true star of the night was the Vodka Pizza. Each bite practically melted in the mouth—light, airy, and indulgent without ever feeling heavy. It’s the kind of pizza that surprises you, making you question everything you thought you knew about plant-based dining. Yes, it leans on the pricier side, but every dish justifies the cost with creativity, flavor, and execution. Between the lively atmosphere and standout dishes, this is not just a meal—it’s an experience worth savoring.”
