“We had the most incredible meal here for my husband’s birthday. What a culinary gem in south Jersey! It’s also BYOB so don’t forget your favorite bottle of wine :) The staff is so attentive and kind - they helped us have a comfortable and amazing experience as a family even with an active toddler. We had the tasting menu and loved every single bite. Everything is flavorful and interesting and unexpected in the best way. We left so full and excited to return!”
“It’s hard to describe my experience in a short amount of characters. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had. We eat in center city Philadelphia often and Hearthside blows most of these restaurants out of the water! I loved that their wine pairing was available for purchase at cooks liquor. The wine I selected paired perfectly. Every single course blew me away and was meticulously crafted!”
“This place is the elite dining experience. The reason I am doing 4 stars is because the wagyu shouldnt be listed on the menu. The service at this place is incredible. They give you water bottles to refill your glass at the table and yet still came over to fill my cup when I reached half empty. Love the fact that they clean the table between each part of the meal too. The food is wonderful. Its unique and crafted in ways I never would have anticipated or expected it. The love was definitely in the food. Everything on the menu was delicious. For 2 people and a $450 bill, I will say the wagyu was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was very yummy, but it wasnt the melt in your mouth wagyu you would expect. Medium rare was ordered and the ends were medium well, while the middle was the propwr medium rare. Ends were still soft though. I would suggest opting for a different steak option if youre going to do the enhancements. Highly reccomend this place though and feel it deserves all the business in the world.”
“We went here for the first time for a special occasion and have to say how disappointed I was with my dinner. The first course the vinaigrette was just so salty, I couldn’t eat it. My husband tried it and agreed. The main course was roasted chicken with vegetables and was nothing special at all! For the price of $100 per person I was expecting to be wowed by the food but I wasn’t! It was definitely not worth it. My husband fortunately liked his meal. The service was good and we had a very friendly server. Will not be giving them a second chance at those prices. Oh yes one more thing no bread was served.”
“First time at this restaurant. The food was excellent but very spicy with some of our group commenting that their mouth was on fire. Service was outstanding. My problem with Hearthside is their deceptive pricing. We were handed 2 menus. One was Ala Carter and the other supposedly "price fix" menu for $100 per person. There were 6 people in our group and we all chose the price fix menu. When the bill came it was $790 and not the $600 we all expected. When questioned, our server explained that there was upcharges for certain items on the menu that accounted for the difference. She said that she had explained this but none of us in the group heard her say that when she explained the menu to us. Also, when we made our selections, she did not mention that several of our choices would incur "supplemental charges". Very deceptive and not very ethical. I would not recommend this restaurant.”
