“Made a reservation for 6 before getting there. Got seated right on time. Our server Beth was amazing. Food was excellent. I highly recommend it. (This was our first time here)”
“We went to Jesse's for an early dinner and had the Prime Rib, Lobster Roll, and NY Strip. Everything was cooked perfectly and looked great when it was served. All three of us thought the food tasted great (I thought the NY Strip was excellent, it was a great Medium Rare and the sides were a little crispy. Amazing) the service was excellent as well, making sure to take care of all of us and when she realized that one of us was hard of hearing she paid extra attention to make sure he could hear her and understand. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great experience with excellent food. I've been here before a few times and it's still just as good.”
“Incredible food, and I loved the decor. I loved the little baskets the fries came in, and everything we ordered came out hot and fantastic. Would absolutely visit again!”
“I expected to be blown away by the food based on some of the other reviews, but it was very underwhelming. The asparagus fries were good, as others mentioned. Presentation was very nice. The calamari was very greasy and the homemade bread was dry and relatively tasteless. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming though.”
“I enjoyed the casual ambiance of the lodge and the service was solid, however I came to eat decent food. For lunch I ordered "Steak & Cheese toasted baguette stuffed with braised ribeye, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and cheddar". I was still expecting a steak sandwich and not shredded meat that I still don't believe was ribeye. It seemed more like a dry pot roast sandwich. The waitress said it was prepared this way because of "toughness; so the meat isnt chewy". Perhaps the meat used is such low grade this is necessary but shouldn't be with a ribeye cut. Mushrooms and onions were not evident but minced peppers to a minimal amount could be found. I gave it a try and wanted it to work, but the flavor was weak, ingredients seemed missing, the baguette was dense and pasty and would make a Frenchman weep. I couldn't eat more than half of it. The fries were good. I tried a bite of my wife's pesto chicken sandwich that seemed decent. I won't go back to Jesse's and risk another bad meal.”
