“Came here for Valentine’s Day. Made sure I made a reservation because duh. Kitchen was backed up. The server informed us that it would take longer than normal. As I sat there and had a wonderful drink, apps, salad, and entree it didn’t seem to take much longer than normal. As someone that’s been in service industry I really respected the honesty and kindness of the waitstaff. My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our time. Thanks to our server Lisa. We’ll be back!”
“Delivery 2x now Both times food was delicious. I don’t understand why they have lower ratings. As a former Italian restaurant manager on federal hill, this food is great. Get two meals out of one entree, chicken parm so good, seafood cardinale, salmon entree and Caesar salad 👌”
“We have eaten here during the many different owners over the past 15 years. It continues to be very loud with the open concept high ceilings, nice looking but echoes. Food was pretty expensive especially for the portion sizes. The bread we were served whas previously frozen and not very good. Took a very long time to get water/acknowledged. Nothing was terrible but it wasn't all that fantastic either.”
“Last night was our first visit. My husband and I did not have a reservation, but we walked in at about 6:15 PM. There wasn’t anyone waiting for a table at the time and many empty tables in the dining room. The hostess tells us it’ll be a few minutes she’s checking on the tables. Ok, great. Then after a bit, the hostess comes up to us and says it’ll be 25 minutes and takes my name. Ok that’s fine. I get it it’s Saturday night. Then after a little bit more she tells us she’s checked with the kitchen staff and it’ll be about 45 minutes. We went from no wait to 25 minutes to a 45 minute wait in just a few minutes. By this time there was another couple and their young child waiting too and they were told the same thing. The restaurant wasn’t jam packed by any means, and we chalked it up to being short staffed. We sat down at 6:55. The bus girl came by right away and brought us water and bread, which was nice. I also thought that it was going to be our dinner because the waitress didn’t come to our table until 7:10. She apologized and blamed it on the kitchen staff and another table’s food coming out late. Whatever, and honestly I don’t care why it took you 15 minutes to come to our table. We were going to order an appetizer, but by that point we were hungry and annoyed, so we just ordered entrees; brisket ravioli for my husband and gnocchi in vodka sauce for me. When mine came out it had chicken on top and I said to the waitress, oh I didn’t know it came with chicken (newsflash, it didn’t), she says yup it does. I thought to myself oh ok. I gave the chicken to my husband because I didn’t want it and wouldn’t have ordered it if it had chicken. Food was decent no complaints. Kinda hard to mess up gnocchi in vodka sauce and ravioli, but I digress. Then we got the bill. My husband commented than mine cost more than his at $30. Come again? I said what I ordered absolutely did not cost $30. At this point our card has already been run, but I went up to the hostess stand and asked for a menu. She gave me the menu and sure enough what I ordered cost $24. The hostess asked me if there was a problem. I told her that I ordered the gnocchi sorrentina, but I did not order it with chicken even though it came out that way. She said I’ll let your server know. The waitress (manager) adjusted the bill then gave me some BS story about she didn’t know and how the chicken was part of the dish and now it isn’t and it used to be just one button and now it isn’t blah, blah blah. She said your right you didn’t order it that way. How many other customers has this been done to and they were none the wiser? So instead of $65 for ravioli and gnocchi and two sodas it was $58. We were thoroughly unimpressed with the whole experience and we won’t be back.”
“I have ordered take out here in the past. Arancini was delicious with their red sauce. I’ve had multiple other things on this menu that were decent. We haven’t ordered from here in a while but figured we’d come back. Terrible choice! I ordered mozzarella triangles as an appetizer, especially since my kids typically love them. The breading it was coated in was like sandpaper. Same with the arancini! The arancini used to have such great flavors, tonight it was like biting into rice covered with a nail file. The food has no flavor or spices. My chicken franchise tasted like it was seasoned with pasta water only. I feel bad leaving this review as I don’t normally leave any type review, especially in a negative way, but yikes! Service was amazing! The person taking my order (can’t order online) was so sweet as well as the person whom brought the food out!”
