The Dead Fish is a Seafood restaurant in the Crockett neighborhood of Crockett.
“This place is the place when amazing ambience comes together with delicious food. Reservations are highly recommended. Patio and indoor seating are available. Parking is very limited. Drinks are moderately priced. Must try their cocktails. Great seafood and pasta choices. This place is a must if you're in town.”
“Had dinner here with a friend and it was lovely! Great service. Good food. Beautiful views. We both had prime rib with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The spinach could have been creamer, but it was still good. The bread, of course, is the best!!! I had a sangria and it was refreshing. Will return!”
“Saw the restuarant on an Instagram reel and wanted to give it a try. I was so glad I did! The seafood was absolutely delicious! The place has been around for quite some time and the inside has wear and tear. But the food pictures should help you overcome some worn carpet. Service was fantastic. Great views and great food. I am not what I would consider a clam chowder person, and I had to order my own bowl after sampling my date's bowl. Can't say that the town itself has too much happening. But this destination spot is worth the drive! Highly recommend.”
“Unclear about the opening time if we arrive at noon, (which is when it opens), but the outside seating is already full? We settled for an obstructed view of the strait because that was the only other outside seating available. When making the reservation I mentioned it was a birthday celebration, which sadly was never acknowledged. Bread is not complimentary, so don't assume it is when offered. It's not terribly expensive, but there is a cost. Ordered a small calamari but it was a good size portion. The shrimp cocktail was presented nicely and the shrimp were massive. We had the large cut of the prime rib that came with creamed spinach and some sort of potato mash with lots of garlic. Also had a romaine wedge that could have fed at least two people, and a couple of lemonade's. With tip it was over $200. Service decent, food hot on arrival. The dining areas are big, some are private with curtains, others were old style decor with group seating in a room full of celebrity photos. When we left and said thank you, we were barely acknowledged. Overall, food was decent, service relatively good, great menu and a nice view if you can figure out what time you need to arrive to get it.”
“I can say this restaurant had a great view. Our food just missed and everything we ordered was flavorless and had a weird taste. The Brussel sprouts were oily and had a fishy after taste, the shrimp and chips were absolutely disgusting, and the steamed vegetables were disappointing.”
