For the freshest fish in Colorado, outside of a lake or stream, look no further than Fish N Beer, a Denver seafood restaurant that offers this coastally-challenged area fresh oysters, wood-grilled fish and an eclectic selection of draft beers in a chill, industrial-modern space.
“Get the salmon and get the fish n chips. Truly a special spot in Rino and the best seafood I’ve had in Denver in truly a long time. The wood fired grill, fresh oysters, a buzzing kitchen, and the bar seating is perfect for happy hour. You can’t go wrong at this spot!”
“OMG!!! What an unexpected surprise! But I’m not sure why with all of the awards and accolades 🙌🏽. The Caribbean red snapper… God rest his soul… was AMAZING! Great meal & atmosphere. I was worried at first as a visitor…. But fit right in. Good food. Good vibes! R&B on the tracks was 🔥.”
“Holy smokes Batman! Fish and Beer is such a vibe! The cooks are absolute rock stars, and you can really taste the care in every dish. The food is amazing, super fresh, never greasy, and clearly made in-house. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The key lime pie is spot-on and tastes just like Key West. You definitely have to try this place!”
“You see the name of this place and think “wow - a little local joint which I can get cheap beer and some fish n chips.” Nope. This is a high end, oyster serving establishment where you get posh seafood entrees and should go for the $15 feature cocktail over the beer in my opinion. Even with the disconnect from the name, Fish N Beer definitely lives up to the price. It’s a smaller menu, but each option I tried was delish. It’s definitely worth trying their grilled oysters - even if a little pricy - because it’s a great start to the meal. One of the entrees has some fresh made gnocchi as well- which was one of my favorite things I tried funny enough. 100% homemade and fresh. Cocktails and vibe were great. Pretty typical stuff for a restaurant like this imo. 4/5 definitely recommend!”
“The oysters had a good flavor. The crab-stuffed cod was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The key lime pie was delicious, but I personally think less meringue would make it better. The shrimp was good, but we did have to clean a few that still had their digestive tracts attached (basically, shrimp poop). For this reason, they receive 4 stars instead of 5 for food.”
