“Exquisite choise of food and drinks. Kriek Boon van 't vat is the best Kriek ever. Belgian strawberries with coulis and vanilla ice-cream was incredibly good as well. The service is quick and friendly. Cosy atmosphere, sunny backyard terrace.. 5/5.”

“Me and my mother were send away because ordering a spaghetti and a dessert was not enough. They said the places were needed for other customers. The real reason ofcourse is that they would not earn enough from us. Disgusting disrespectful behaviour. The restaurant was only 60-70% full and the owner was acting like he was managing the most busy business in the country. If service is a big deal for you: Avoid this place”

“An aggressive hostile man told us they don’t have coffee, this is supposedly just a restaurant. Then he suddenly started yelling, claiming that we had been inside (?) and hadn’t closed the door. He attecked me shouted “What is your problem?” - while we were there with children. It was a terrible experience. He was extremely aggressive and angry, literally red in the face and shaking with rage over a simple question about whether we could have coffee. On top of that, the place was dirty and the “restaurant” smelled awful. Dirty tables, a filthy floor, and Yelling at two polite women with children is absolutely disgraceful — behaving like that is even worse… shameful. On top of that, I was speaking to him in Dutch, not English, if HIS problem what he is raciste or something like that. I only checked the reviews afterward — too late — and now I see many people have had the same experience with this aggressive and unstable person. He’s lucky I didn’t call the police because didn’t want kids can see such terrible situation and such terrible unpolite person next to so beautiful magic forest.”

“The male bar tender had an attitude when asked for a table, no help and turned us away. When asked if we can sit at the table outside, he just says ok enjoy without asking if we wanted to order anything”

“We were refused service which seems to be a regular occurrence. It’s only a restaurant, meaning no drinks only service ( or god forbid, a coffee to go…). But since the park attracts lots of visitors, on a fine day one would think it makes sense if part of the terrace was reserved for customers who only have time for a short drink.”
