Sorella Restaurant is an Italian restaurant in the Downtown Hartford neighborhood of Hartford.
“Stopped into Sorella’s today and had a great experience. Great Neapolitan-style pizza coming out of a true wood-fired oven. The sauce is fresh and uncooked with just a touch of salt, nice balance of acidity and sweetness. Fresh mozzarella is creamy and rich, and the basil adds a subtle floral note. The dough is well fermented, light, and flavorful. Solid, well-executed pie. The garlic bread with Boursin and mozzarella was excellent, crispy, garlicky, and properly seasoned. The marinara on the side is cooked and balanced, and the cheese pull speaks for itself. I went with the pork chop, Berkshire pork cooked perfectly. Thick, juicy, and full of flavor. The sauce was a gastrique-style, demi-inspired reduction with vinegar and cherry peppers. Rich and savory with a tangy edge and a little heat. It cuts through the pork nicely and brings the whole dish together. Dessert was the affogato, espresso poured tableside over toasted almond ice cream. The bitterness of the espresso balances the sweet, nutty ice cream really well. Simple and done right. Vibe: Warm, lively, and comfortable with a rustic feel and a modern touch. The wood-fired oven is out in the open, which adds to the experience. I was seated right near it, great spot if you enjoy watching the pizzas come to life. The Service top-notch. Very kind, professional and engaging! Would definitely come back”
“Had a lovely dinner here with my partner. We made reservations and we were sat immediately, the servers were attentive and made sure we were taken care of! The food was delicious. Definitely recommend!”
“Easily the best cesar salad I've ever had. It has definitely set the bar. The brussel sprouts were a close 2nd. The mai tai was strong and delicious. This restaurant does not skimp on anything. I'm looking forward to enjoying Sorella again in the near future.”
“I went here for Pratt Street Restaurant week. The tasting menu was awesome! Great appetizer choices, the chicken parm was delicious, and the cannolis were to die for. We also had the tiramisu which was rich and decadent. Definitely will be back!”
“We spontaneously decided to have dinner at Sorella and were truly impressed by the food and hospitality. Their wood-fired Margherita pizza was insanely good—so flavorful and fresh—and the pasta was just as incredible. This place is a total gem! 100% recommend!””
