“First time at Sophie’s BBQ today. Place is really cool little building on corner. Very chill relaxing decor. Very friendly staff. I went with the pork belly burnt ends cheesesteak. It was really good. Fries were really awesome. My sister got the piggy bowl and it was pretty massive. Cousin got the brisket melt and it looked really good. Cornbread was really awesome. Maddie was our server and she was really nice and friendly and attentive. Really suggest this place. They have a bar as well but didn’t get any drinks.”

“Never did I ever think I would have the best BBQ if my life in Pennsylvania, but my partner said this rivals the best BBQ he's ever had - in Kansas City, MO! Devon, our server, was so helpful with helping us decide (there were so many delicious options!), but also super kind and easy to talk to! We made a pit stop here because we got some items from Brew Your Own Beer down the street, and are we glad we did! We are legitimately thinking of moving to Havertown simply to be around this restaurant - it's an experience and some great bbq you don't want to miss.”

“The BEST bbq I’ve had in a long time!! Celebrated a friends birthday and we had been hoping to visit this place for a while and it did NOT disappoint. We all ordered something different and equally loved our meals. Did not get drinks this go around but will absolutely be back. I will say, our server was a bit rude to my friend multiple times (mind you she’s a quiet, polite person by nature) but besides that, amazing experience and food. 10/10.”

“Howdy! We ordered the half pound Coffee Rubbed Brisket, Brisket Cheesesteak, St. Louis Ribs BBQ platter, and Blackened Shrimp. Brisket and ribs were fantastic.. Tender, juicy, and smoked to precision. There is craftsmanship here that goes into every cut of meat. Just as good as Texas BBQ. The Brisket Cheesesteak was great. Pure mouthgasm. Fries were flimsy tho and need some character, but the BBQ platter sides were rich and generous. The beans are full of flavor. However, $17.00 for only 4 pieces of shrimp is crazy work. A bit bummed by that. Overall, a solid and delicious BBQ. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Would love to explore more of the menu ♨️”

“Yeaaaaa this is my second time here and definitely my last. Number 1 when you walk into a REAL bbq place it smells like bbq. Sophie's does not. 2. What are you smoking with because everything I've tried thats smoked has no depth to it. Grilled for sure smoked not so sure. The baked beans are a no go and the Mac is so so. Sorry for the harsh words but bad bbq makes me angry lol. I was hoping I caught yall on a bad day last time. Unfortunately now im under the impression everyday is so so. Flavortown rating= we never left the station.”
