“Stopped by Rising Sun Bar & Kitchen and had a really great experience. The food presentation alone stood out right away—everything looked just as good as it tasted. The highlight for me was the braided bread with cheese sauce… absolutely awesome. Warm, soft, and paired perfectly with that rich, flavorful cheese dip. Easily something I’d go back for again. We also tried a few other dishes, including the burger, fries, mac & cheese, and a fresh salad. Everything was well made and came out looking great. The branding on the bun was a nice touch too—it shows they care about the details. The patio was a great getaway for a nice spring day—relaxing atmosphere and the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a meal. Overall, a great spot with creative food, solid portions, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.”

“ALWAYS fantastic!!! I’ll admit the food can be a little on the higher price side but you definitely get what you pay for. My personal favorites are the beet and goat cheese salad, the spicy tuna roll, and the poutine fries. In addition to the amazing food, the staff is always pleasant and goes above and beyond for their customers. My favorite time of year to visit is around st pattys day and I love the creativity especially with the shirt designs. They’re always adding new recipes to their menu and I really loved the four cheese pasta too! I prefer to dine in but when that’s not a personal option delivery is just as good, as evidenced by the photos!”

“Dinner at Rising Sun was a great idea. For an appetizer we ordered the California roll and it was incredible. For entrees we got the Cheeseburger and the Shrimp tacos and they were amazing. We didn’t drink tonight but the bar area looked wonderful and I can’t wait to order drinks next time. The restaurant is so beautiful we really loved all of the plants and the decor. There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating and it’s perfect for a long night of drinks apps and dinner. The service was great. Would love to come here again!”

“We spent Valentine’s Day lunch at Rising Sun Bar and Kitchen in Palmyra with three other couples and it turned into one of those afternoons that just hits on every level. We reserved one of the winter globes on the patio between the two buildings and that alone made it worth the visit. Each globe feels like your own private dining room with a heater inside, so you stay comfortable even in February. On a sunny day it was warm enough that it felt almost springlike, and having that enclosed space made it cozy without feeling cramped. It honestly felt like we had rented out a private venue for our group of eight. If you want that experience, book it soon because the globes come down for regular outdoor seating once summer rolls around. We started with the poutine fries and the Sunrise sushi roll. The poutine was rich and indulgent with perfectly crisp fries under all that savory goodness. The sushi roll was fresh and well balanced. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to details. For lunch we both went with the cheeseburger. My wife ordered hers without the bun and loved it. I added a sunny side up egg and bacon to mine and it was outstanding. The bacon deserves special praise. Thick, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It elevated the burger from great to memorable. And I cannot say enough about our server, Bri. She was impeccable. She knew exactly when to check in and when to give us space. She handled four separate checks for our table without a single mix up. No confusion, no awkward moments, everything smooth. She even knew when to crack the door on the globe to regulate the temperature as the afternoon warmed up. That kind of awareness makes a difference. Between the food, the unique globe experience, and Bri’s top tier service, Rising Sun delivered a Valentine’s Day lunch that felt special from start to finish. We will absolutely be back.”

“Rising Sun is a lovely place with a great atmosphere and a beautiful terrace. We sat outside and really enjoyed the setting. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered what seemed to be the healthiest option on the menu: the warm Brussels sprouts salad with chicken. To my surprise, it contained far more cheese and bacon than Brussels sprouts. The chicken was fine, but the dish felt quite heavy and wasn’t what I expected from a vegetable-based salad. A shame, because the terrace and overall ambiance are really nice. The setting alone makes it worth a visit, but I hope the kitchen will reconsider the balance of some of its dishes.”
