“Our server Megan made our 47th anniversary truly memorable at Earl's Landing. My husband had the filet au poivre and said it was perfectly cooked-- which he reiterated over and over after each bite. Said it was the best filet mignon he'd had in years. His buffalo mozzarella salad, fresh basil infused cheese on arugula, was an inspiration to the tastebuds. I chose their watermelon gazpacho, a perfectly cool beginning to a very hot day. The smoked feta and cilantro oil gave it a slight kickiness that melded perfectly with the tomato and cucumber, lime and shallot. A really unique, different and delicious soup. My entrée was the shrimp scampi on fresh pappardelle noodles with a generous sprinkle of red and black pepper. The shrimp were huge and the dish was not swimming in a pool of garlicy butter. Definitely different and very enjoyable. For dessert we had their dubai chocolate torte as our anniversary gift and the lemon blueberry pound cake, both delicious. A bottle of pinot, some perfectly mixed cocktails-- all in all an excellent dinner in a historical building with great staff and good ambience. I highly recommend Earl's Landing!”
“What a hidden gem in High Point! The restaurant is beautiful and the decor is thoughtfully curated. The staff were friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. Chloe was a fantastic server and added several special touches to go above and beyond for our anniversary. My filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The crab cakes with red pepper remoulade were to die for. We cannot wait to go back!”
“Where to start…….. We came here for the FIRST TIME date night and I must say it was amazing the atmosphere actually made me feel like I’ve been there before. My service by Colin was amazing, he was very attentive and also informative on the menu and was part of the reason I felt as welcomed! The ELK was delicious my first experience and I must say the chef did his thing. I went with the peppercorn steak paired with the homemade garlic potatoes and asparagus “CHEFS KISS”! Can’t forget the lobster nachos amazing packed with flavor! This place should be able to receive 10 STARS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“We really wanted to like this place. The staff is incredibly friendly and our waitress was beyond fantastic! However, most of the food is not fine dining material. My husband and I each ordered the filet mignon and both were overcooked and dry. The salmon was overcooked as well. The only really good meal was the duck. My husband’s side was the green beans and those were very undercooked! The drinks were fantastic though. Best part of the meal was the peanut butter pie. Unfortunately, our experience seems pretty similar to some of the other reviews I’ve read and if the chef remains the same, we wouldn’t eat here again, especially since this was a $430 meal!”
“We went on a saturday night for an early valentines dinner. The atmosphere is very nice, and service is amazing. I really wish I could remember our servers name so I could praise her here. She Did an amazing job. Now onto the food, the shrimp cocktail, well its a shrimp cocktail nothing much to it. For the sides, we got the lobster mac and cheese ( it was good, but lacked a little flavor. ) now the Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatos were fantastic. Especially the potatoes, my wife cant stop talking about them. Now onto the steaks my wife got the 16 oz ribeye, and I got the 18 oz bone in new york strip. Both had the perfect cook of medium rare. My wife really liked her steak, but as for mine I was very disappointed in the lack of flavor it had. Almost like it had zero seasonings on it. I dont feel like it was worth the price. Onto cocktails, had a long island, it was pretty good, just a little on the small side. Overall, it was a good experience, but the food was lacking in some aspects and I dont think it was worth the $200+ price tag that came along with it.”
