“First time at Old Oyster Factory and it did not disappoint. We chose this place based on reviews and multiple HHI local recommendations to go on a Tuesday for the fireworks. Family of 7 and we were seated within a couple minutes of our reservation time. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time! Our group ordered the hushpuppies and crispy calamari appetizers - both were delicious! Then we had the scallops, seafood scampi, grilled swordfish and fried seafood platter. All dishes were fantastic and delivered quickly - very impressed with the kitchen staff! Definitely recommend the fried shrimp over the fried oysters - a little too much breading on the oysters. Our waitress Jordan was so attentive and quick - she was awesome! After dinner we went outside on the boardwalk and watched the fireworks show from Shelter Cove. It’s not super close since you’re across the water but still a great addition. We will definitely be back soon.”
“If you are into Oysters this is the spot in HH for you. They have so many to choose from and label them for you so you know what you’re eating. Everyone’s food at the table looked amazing and everyone one had great reviews. Pretty sure every plate went back to the kitchen clean. A little added bonus is that the views are spectacular. Highly recommend adding this to your HHI dinner plans.”
“Excellent experience. Brittany was our hostess and was very efficient, prompt and genuinely cared about our experience. Food was superb. Wife had pan sowared scallops and I had braised beef short rib. OUTSTANDING QUALITY and amount was spot on. Superbly prepared. Brittany, THANK YOU for treating us so well !”
“We went there for restaurant week. This was my first time eating here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, polite and professional. We ate off of thier special menu for restaurant week. I started with baked oysters with butter sauce, lemon garlic Romano cheese and creole seasoning, Very tasty. Main course was crusted pork chops with blue cheese and quinoa. Desert was bread pudding with a bourbon sauce and cheese cake. The food was very good. Great flavor and good size portions. I will definitely eat here again in the future.”
“Very large with lots of indoor & outdoor seating. The hurricane cocktail has its own brand of coconut rum that I'm not a fan of. The fruity cocktails were all weak. My husband’s Crab old fashion drink was good. They need drink coasters-the table is all wet. The Low-country peach lemonade is good, but it tastes more like tea. The music was too loud-we did ask him to turn it down and they did. The fried green tomatoes are very flavorful, but there’s very little pimento cheese on them and the coating is very thin-(need thicker with crunch)! . The chow chow & red pepper jam was very flavorful. The broadCreek seafood scampi was good, but my husband said it needs more lemon and salt flavoring (very bland).”
