“We loved this place! The seafood was great quality and of course, very fresh. I order fish tacos everywhere we go and I got blackened mahi mahi tacos with coleslaw. Everything was phenomenal. These were one of the best fish tacos I’ve had. My husband got the shrimp basket and the shrimp was juicy. He did say the batter was lacking in seasoning. All in all, very good. Our server Glenn was a gem! He was very interactive with our 4 year old who never stops talking. We will be back!”
“She had the low country bowl which consisted of red peas, collard greens, okra and tomatoes and sweet potatoes with white rice in the center. She says it was absolutely amazing. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with the largest side of coleslaw I have ever had and they were both excellent. We finished the meal with a slice of buttermilk pie and key lime pie and both were excellent. I recommend getting the key line pie naked though.”
“We came for lunch ... Ryan was our waiter and provided excellent service. We got the shrimp salad and fried fish sandwich. The shrimps salad was outstanding and good size!! The fish sandwich was good we thought the roumalade was a bit much. We took some off. Nice views. All in all very good.”
“Great meal and atmosphere at The Wharf! We ordered the fish and chips basket, grilled shrimp tacos, and the calabash shrimp basket, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The fish was crispy, the shrimp were spot on, and the tacos had great flavor. We paired it all with a glass of delicious rosé, which was the perfect complement to the meal. The portion sizes are huge, so the price is absolutely worth it. Our server, Julia, was friendly and attentive and made the experience even better. With the waterfront setting, great food, and excellent service, it made for a really enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back when visiting Jekyll Island. 🌊🍤🍷”
“The Wharf really is underwhelming. The location is beautiful if your not sat at a low table so you can enjoy it. Service is fast to seat but island time "slow" after that. I did enjoy waters being given without asking. 1st thing we tried was the "green tomatos" and PoFolks does it better. In a effort to make it look fancy they kill the "3" golden fried tomatoes. They sit on to much "white bbq sauce lol" and topped with onions, blue cheese, bacon bits and scallions. The flavors combined with the soaked batter made it taste like a wet sock so avoid. The seafood chowder was great will get again if I have to go back. It tasted like a seafood sausage gravy and biscuits but works. Now the $48 LowCBoil was pitiful and I suggest "The Hungary Crab" if you want to be satisfied. At first we received it with half the legs gone from the small half Crab you get. I didn't pay $48 to get missing food. The waitress brought another to replace it whitch was good. In conclusion location it great but I just wanted to leave after the disappointing food. If you want to spend money on a great view go to "Rivers Edge in Darian" or "Zachry's Riverhouse on Jekyll". "The Wharf" is a overrated tourist trap.”
