“Very delicious! The duck leg rice was full of flavor and very well seasoned. The grilled octopus leg tasted like it was cooked over charcoal, with a rich smoky flavor that really stood out. Definitely worth trying!”
“The food was fantastic, but the real story was the service. I have never experienced staff at a restaurant that were so happy, helpful, professional, and would gladly do all the small things to make you feel like royalty without ever being asked. Two of the staff greeted my wife and I at the door with warm smiles and opened both doors for us. The hostesses were just as welcoming and were dressed so nicely that I was worried for a moment that there might have been a customer dress code that I was not aware of (I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt). Our waiter (Nick) was incredibly professional, punctual, and well spoken. A waitress for the table next to us even stopped by just to neatly fold my wife's napkin and place it upright on the table while she was in the restroom. The busboys were very fast at clearing our dishes and refilling our water, while always being exceptionally polite when doing so. The managers/owners were also amazingly hospitable and always jumped in to help whenever possible. They welcomed us upon arrival, cleaned up a broken glass at the table next to us, filled our waters if they noticed they were low, and even brought out our dessert with a candle to wish us a happy anniversary. Start to finish I have never been treated to such wonderful hospitality at any business in my life. It's a shame that we live 2 ½ hours away, but we will certainly be back. This is the longest review I have composed and it is well deserved by everyone working in and managing Sovana Bistro.”
“Had a great Valentine’s Day brunch at Sovana Bistro! I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich (no pickles or slaw) and it was so good — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the sweet heat. The fries were fresh and hit the spot. Sarah got the butternut squash and pear pizza and it was honestly incredible. The flavors worked so well together — a little sweet, a little savory, and super fresh. You can tell they care about quality ingredients. We also tried the seasonal black cherry mimosas, which were delicious and festive without being overly sweet. Everything was really good, the vibe was cozy and welcoming, and we had such a nice time. Definitely a go-to spot for brunch or a date. We’ll be back!”
“Our server who I believe is Fabiola Z was awesome. She was really on top of things and suuuper nice. I felt like I was being treated like royalty. The food was great too I was stuffed. Very fancy place. The brown butter tort wasn't very good though”
“Always a great experience!! Popped in for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Our visit started with a warm, friendly welcome at the door. Seated in my favourite high top table not that they know which I like. Service was very attentive and even made changes to my lunch so I could have a warm soup. Food was delicious. Best onion soup I’ve had in a while. Look forward to my next visit.”
