Sonder - Kingston

“We were in Kingston to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We decided to eat at Sonder because it had good reviews. We were so happy with the service and the food. The food was the right amount, not too little and not too much. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, and the Lobster pasta was so tasty. The pasta is made there and it was cooked al dente. We will sure return when we visit Kingston again!”

“Walked in last Saturday night without a reservation and was sat immediately. Our server Patrina was amazing !! She was super busy and never made us feel like it all. She was highly attentive and informative surrounding all of our (annoying) questions. The food was amazing ! As a Californian I felt right at home. Great wine, great food and even better service! Highly recommend.”

“This place became an instant favorite. The food was outstanding, generous and decadent. I've never enjoyed a pork chop this much, and the pickles were more addictive than they deserve to be. The crab toast was rich and overflowing with flavor. The ambiance is very cozy, though the bar is more of a shallow counter and not as atmospheric as the rest of the place. The garden looked like a great place to hang out once it gets warm. When I visited the service was hit or miss. There were two waiters, one friendly and attentive, the other sleepy and seemingly confused.”

“An excellent night out. The risotto was so comforting and paired deliciouslu with the Italian white wine. My husband enjoyed a thick cut pork chop with apples and ginger ribbons. The portions were perfect! We ended with the cheese cake which was excellent. I had heard complaints of it being a tight squeeze for space inside, but it was comfortable for a Friday night dinner crowd. We sat at the bar table and had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She had a great sense of humor and did not hesitate to ask the chef about food sensitivity. I could not decide which wine I wanted and she allowed me to sample both before I made my selection. The final pour was generous, but not heavy. A great place for date night and a really enjoyable experience.”

“Two friends brought us to Sonder after we complained about the lack of good restaurants in our area, and I’m glad they did. Beyond its casual, slightly old-Woodstock atmosphere, this Kingston spot was a real discovery. The food was eclectic, fresh, creative, colorful and beautifully plated. We chose to do an all-appetizer meal, tapas-style, which let us sample a wide variety of dishes. Every plate was good. Even someone as perpetually dissatisfied with many American restaurants as I am went home smiling. We’ll be back soon.”
