“I hardly ever give five stars ever! Thus was my fruend invokes graduation day and she get her Masters. She's been here before & the service was impeccable. MAR K our Server was great & very attentive. The place eclectic & enjoyable. Awesome food & good portions.”
“We had large family event and rented a room. We only had a either chicken or turkey dinner. A simple salad and giant choc chip cookies or sugar pie. Pepsi products. Servers were amazing. Food not too bad. It was cool looking through the history of people staying there. I'd recommend at least coming for a meal and looking around. Parking is on the side.”
“What an amazing historical building with loads of charm and mystery. Ohios most haunted location? Definitely had that vibe! Restaurant wise, the food was amazing and the service was on point. Highly recommended! Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu. Don't wait, go now!”
“We went here for our anniversary dinner and we absolutely loved our experience! It is such a unique building. We loved the salmon dip, but honestly everything we ordered was delicious! They even gave us a piece of pie for our anniversary, which was so sweet (literally and figuratively). We also enjoyed checking out the gift shop!”
“There are many things this hotel needs to do if they want to remain a quality historical hotel. The carpeting in the hallways and rooms are in great need of cleaning. Especially the hallways and stairs. Those should be cleaned twice a year since they are used so much - it seems there are poor attention to details. The bathroom: the mirror above the sink was raised so high, we could barely see ourselves in it. It’s as if a 6’4” man placed it and gave no regards to shorter women. The hot water in the sink was warm - some of the time. Other times, it was nonexistent. The bath tub bottom was okay until you washed your feet. Then it became slippery. The treads were worn. There was absolutely no where to hang the hand towel after washing your hands, despite the fact there was a perfect place in the wall next to the sink. The room was comfortable enough but the ac never shut off, despite the fact we physically shut it off. But I won’t complain about that as it was the third floor and could have been hot. The TV was ridiculously placed across the room from the sofa. When we came in, the staff was very welcoming and since we were on the third floor, a very nice employee carried our bags up for us. Very thoughtful. In the restaurant, the acoustics were horrible in the room we were in. A large party with a very loud woman was there celebrating a birthday. Her laughter and the yelling were so loud we could barely hear each other talk. They should have been placed in a dining room on the second floor. The other room was so much quieter as we walked though to go back to our room. The food was good and our server was excellent. I doubt I’ll be back, and if anyone asks me about it, I’ll be truthful about both the pros and cons.”
