“Perfect, bite sized portions of umami. The mushrooms with jidoro egg and the tuna tartar are the highlights for sure!”
“Amazing food! This was our second time at Cured and it was as good as we remembered. So many great options on the menu, it’s hard not to order it all! Everything we ate was just so tasty! The fish is fresh, the flavors are delicious and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. The sake is equally good and pairs really well with the food. They also support other local restaurants - Wingen (best bread ever) and Patisserie by Simone (for dessert, such yummy cookies), so it’s a real treat to dine here. Great service, ambience and experience. One of our favorites for sure!”
“Cured Fish Bar is Livermore’s hidden gem. My gf and I couldn’t believe this establishment has been around for a year. We’re such foodies and we had not heard/noticed this place until a friend recommended it. And wow, this place didn’t disappoint! This place may not be a full-blown sushi place but they have a great selection of fresh seafood. We had the Caesar salad, fresh oysters, the flavorful chilled marinated mussels, delicious halibut sashimi, super yummy anchovy toasts, each had a cup of chowder and sake! The place has a great vibe - perfect place for date night, friends meetups and when you’re feeling for some fresh seafood. We highly recommend the place!”
“We searched yelp for seafood restaurants and cured fish bar was in the list. Should’ve checked its menu before we came. Despite the restaurant setting, this is a bar with reasonable selection of wines and beverages. Food menu is short and limited to raw items with no real kitchen. The dishes are influenced by Japanese cuisine but definitely western. All seafood tastes fresh and well seasoned. The chef did the fusion well; he is creative and talented. We love the grilled mushrooms with raw egg yolk. We also ordered every item on the happy hour list as well as the online favorite Caesar salad. The salad has a lot I mean really a lot of garlic. If garlic is not your most favorite thing , my recommendation is to stay away from this salad. As other reviewers stated that prices are high and portions very small. We came for dinner not so much for the drinks. after paying the $100+ meal ticket we still feel hungry. This is probably not the right place for someone needing hearty meals but not hippie or intimate or comfortable enough for a pre-dinner drink gathering either IMHO. We would love to come back to try more of the chef’s creativity if he expands the food menu.”
“I drove 40miles to try this place, never been to livermore, but got to try this place. This place is cozy and modern vibe which I love. We sat down at the dining table followed by host. Menu was pretty straight forward and had not many options. Server recommended us to order at least 7 dishes for 2ppl. And we did. First, I ordered oysters and they were super fresh. I loved the oyster the most here. The bread along with the garlic butter was very delicious as well. Caesar salad - very unique texture of the topping they spread on the top of salad. Salad was very fresh. Toro tartar - fish was fresh but it was a bit salty King salmon - it was a bit fatty and oily Bluefin tuna - perfect taste Albacore - it was ok One thing I didn’t like about the sashimi plate was they all had virgin olive oil that makes me can’t enjoy fresh taste. I wish they come up with other toppings or seasoning. Service - could’ve been better. My server was too cold, I think host was more professional than other servers. Since this place is tiny (looked like focused on more local ppl or so), they could’ve been more friendly to customers(?) idk they acted like they are working in some franchise restaurant where random ppl come and go. Do you think I will come back later? Maybe or not”
