“We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Détente during our trip to Martha’s Vineyard. It was a flawless experience from start to finish. Truly fine dining at its best with exceptional service and unforgettable food. We enjoyed our meal outside on their patio. To start, we shared the lobster risotto and the peach salad (a special the night we dined in July), both beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For our entrées, I had the pan seared halibut. It was perfectly cooked and full of vibrant summer flavors! I loved it. My husband throughly enjoyed the pork rib chop al pastor, which was juicy and flavorful. We ended the evening with their bread pudding, the perfect sweet finish to an outstanding meal. Highly recommend for a special occasion or any night you want to treat yourself to an exceptional dining experience.”

“I was able to visit Detente while on the Vineyard and I was most happy I did. The service was quite good and the meal was excellent. The mocktails were quite good and expertly mixed. I can highly recommend Detente and will be happy to enjoy a meal here again.”

“Dined here with two friends on a recent Friday night in May. We made our reservation with only a week to spare and as such were only able to secure an outdoor table. It was still quite chilly outside but we were sandwiched between two heaters which made it very manageable. Our waitress was wonderful and service was incredibly prompt which I appreciate because I have noticed that service on the island is generally more relaxed (i.e. slow). For appetizers we shared the baby gem salad and the pork bolognese. Both good but the pork bolognese was a small but mighty star. Pasta was perfectly al dente and we really enjoyed the goat cheese with the pork. For our mains we ordered the pork chop, halibut and mushroom lasagna. The portions were large and we were all satisfied with our orders (though the pork chop was quite salty). Enjoyed this enough that I would for sure come back.”
