“"Alma Cubana did not disappoint! We ordered the shrimp ceviche and the grilled octopus and both were absolutely beautiful , the presentation alone had us excited before the first bite. The ceviche was fresh and light with the perfect balance of citrus and the crispy plantain chips were a great touch. The octopus was tender, well seasoned and plated like something you'd see at a high end restaurant. Our server Rey was attentive from start to finish , he stayed on top of everything without being overbearing which is exactly the standard I look for. You never had to chase anyone down which says a lot about how Rey runs his section. The vibe was great, the food delivered, and Rey made the whole experience that much better. We will absolutely be back. If you're in Miami and want authentic Cuban done right with elevated presentation and a server who actually cares about your experience , ask for Rey. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"”
“Definitely get the paella and seafood catch. These were great for our 8-person group. We made a reservation and ate around 830pm. I think we ordered too many appetizers because we should have saved room to devour the seafood. Sangria and margarita pitchers were the right call.”
“Alma Cubana in South Beach was exactly what we needed close to midnight on Valentine’s Day. The place was still buzzing, colorful, and fun without feeling chaotic. It felt easy to walk in with the family, settle in, and enjoy a late night meal without pressure. We ordered a mix of dishes to get a feel for the menu. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken was fresh and well balanced, crisp lettuce, nicely seasoned chicken, not overly dressed. The chicken empanadas were warm and flaky, great for sharing. The chicken sandwich was juicy and comforting. The filet mignon had a good sear, though my daughter felt it leaned a bit on the dry side. The lemonade stood out, made with fresh lime juice and not sweet at all, clean and refreshing, easily one of the better ones I’ve had. Service really elevated the experience. Mario was exceptional. He noticed I was cold and moved the heater closer to our table without us even asking. Thoughtful touches like that make a difference. Such a solid late night option in South Beach, especially when you’re out with family and want something lively but still comfortable. More on social media: @ratedbymaryam”
“This place was okay. We ordered 2 of their $30 mojitos. They tasted just like a $15 Mojito. We ordered the chicken nachos once we were able to finally flag down our waiter since he didn’t bother checking on us. My biggest issue with this place is the predetermined 20% tip. I’m sure it’s buried in the fine print somewhere in the menu, but I shouldn’t have to scan the menu for that. It should be disclosed upfront by the waiter so I can decide if I want to stay or not. But, of course they don’t do that. Overall it wasn’t a bad place, but I don’t want someone to decide for me what my tip is going to be.”
“SCAM! With a 4.9 rating we had high expectations. Ended up being the worst meal with the worst service! First we got sat down and the place was empty. They have a 2 for 1 drink special which we took and since we had a bachelor party crew they said they would upgrade our size to super…. Spoiler alert they did not. Then we got nachos which I attached pics with craft dinner cheese for $24 plus $8 for fake chicken which we are pretty sure we had to go to the bathroom right after. We also got the calamari which was bare with like 10 pieces. Then we got the tacos which were ok and the cubano which was the only saving grace and best value at $22. The servers don’t give a shit about you though and why would they when you mandate to give them 20 percent tip which is the biggest scam as well along the strip. Plus taxes you’re paying like 35 percent on your bill. Also the drink super watery and full of sugar, so it’s ok. You’ll end up paying it for somewhere else. In the end we spent $100 percent person which is ridiculous. In my opinion go a block or two over pay half the price with better food and then go to the strip to enjoy.”
