“We had a Cuban sandwich, garlic shrimp, grilled octopus, and a pitcher of mojitos to share between 3 people. The food was delicious, and the portions were good. The best part was the service and hospitality. The worst part was the fixed service charge”
“Both the breakfast and lunch were excellent. I had the Cuban breakfast (I think that's what it was called) for breakfast and the steak for lunch. My wife had the Cuban sandwich which was better than ones I've had at other places.”
“Came here with my mother and this was easily the best meal we had in South Beach all week! The margaritas and Cuban coffee were perfect and the guava juice was a great N/A option. All of the food was delicious; chicken empanadas, avocado salad with blackened shrimp, whole red snapper, and tres leches to share. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and was a very cozy corner spot to sit in the sun. I wish we weren’t leaving tomorrow otherwise we definitely would be back!”
“Super unique location that was very easy on the eyes and that is what initially attracted us here. The portion size to cost ratio is mind blowingly off. 8$ for 4 fries is insanity. The Cubano was so delicious and we ordered a drink and gave the size, and got something completely different. Can you say tourist trap, and we fell for it. Would not recommend and would not go again.”
“If you’re in Miami Beach and craving authentic Cuban flavor, Esquina Cubana is an absolute must-stop. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels lively and welcoming—exactly what you want from a Cuban spot. One thing to note: there’s no on-site restroom, and seating is primarily outdoors with no true indoor dining or bar area, so plan accordingly. That said, the open-air vibe fits perfectly with the Miami Beach energy. We started with a mojito pitcher, and it was hands down one of the best decisions of the night. Fresh, crisp, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to keep refilling—perfect for sharing. For food, everything delivered. The ropa vieja was outstanding—tender, slow-cooked shredded beef packed with rich, savory flavor that tasted like it had been simmering all day. The Cuban sandwich was exactly what you want: perfectly pressed, crispy on the outside, and warm and melty inside with the ideal mix of pork, ham, cheese, and pickles. And don’t skip dessert—the tres leches cake was incredible. Super moist, not overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Esquina Cubana delivers on flavor and experience. Great food, strong drinks, and a fun, casual outdoor setting—just go in knowing it’s more of a laid-back, open-air spot without indoor seating or amenities.”
