His attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and ability to make every guest feel valued are rare qualities. I don’t know what his role is beyond serving guests, but he should be training others. In fact, they better be paying him well because someone else will recruit him in a heartbeat. Employees like Douglas are the reason people return and recommend a restaurant to others. “My dining experience at Komodo was exceptional from start to finish. The food, cocktails, and service were all outstanding. A special shoutout to Douglas, our server, who was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure our experience was seamless throughout the evening. The Hamachi Crudo was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the salmon tacos were easily one of the highlights of the meal. The chicken fried rice was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor—comfort food elevated to another level. To top it all off, the lychee martinis were absolutely delicious and dangerously easy to keep ordering! The atmosphere was vibrant, upscale, and perfect for a night out in Miami. Between the amazing food, great cocktails, and Douglas’s exceptional service, this was a five-star experience. I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time at Komodo. I heard so much about it and I was excited to try. I was seated immediately and greeted but the lovely Brittany. She checked on me from the moment I sat down until the moment I left. She explained the menu and made recommendations based off of my dietary restrictions. I had the Wagyu dumplings and the garden roll which were so delicious. I finished my meal with mochi that was so yummilicous! I will be back!”

“What a beautiful and airy restaurant! The venue itself is fantastic at all times of day. The service is on the ball, very nice and quick with attention to every detail! Let’s talk about the food now, they have a large and vast selection of well-executed Asian fusion dishes. Of course the Peking duck is a must, probably the best I’ve had! My only remark is that they use the same spicy sauce for many dishes and sides so I was kind of done with it at the end of the meal, even though it is great tasting.”
