“I’ve gone to this family owned restaurant for well over 25 years and never been disappointed. The food is flavorful and changes with the seasons. Saganaki - flaming for an appetizer is delish - gyros sandwich and fries with the avgolemono soup or a Greek salad is a great lunch option. A variety of fish on the menu - and vegetarian items are available for dinner or lunch. Carol - the owner often greets you at the door and knows her regulars by name.. I love this place!”

“I ate an early evening dinner at Christos on a Friday. I ordered the chilled dip sampler and the special sea bass with rice pilaf and asparagus. The chilled dips came with vegetable slices, including cucumber and tomato, as well as warm sliced pita bread. The sea bass was broiled with a lemon white wine sauce, topped with capers. The rice includes rosemary, bay leaf, cinnamon, butter, and raisins. The asparagus was steamed. The service is friendly. They do take tap-to-pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay. My server said to return for the Taverna platter with octopus!”

“I have lived in this neighborhood for over 5 years and have never tried this place…I can’t believe it. I finally took myself out to lunch here and was so enamored by the atmosphere they nearly had to pull me from my table to get me to leave. I went over the lunch hour and they had an amazing lunch special. I got the gyro plate with a salad and a hot tea. Such a perfect lunch, amazing service and the best atmosphere. I will definitely be back!”

“01.03.2026 lunch date with myself after touchin' up my hair My first time & it's not going to be my last! So delicious! Service was spectacular by Daniel. Lunch prices are so unbeatable. The dining room was beautiful. The exterior doesn't do it justice- you've just gotta go in. I've said I'd go for many years and I've finally walked in today. Fabulous decision. Salmon Exohikos $13.95 (Norwegian Salmon slathered w/ dill aoili baked in flaky phyllo wrap & spring salad that's tossed in dill vinaigrette w/ soup). Oh my, the salmon was perfectly cooked, the seasoning was spot on & the phyllo was flaky and moist into the bite! That dill vinaigrette...amazing!”

“I happened to walk past this restaurant mid-stroll and felt that particular excitement that only a promising mom-and-pop Greek spot can trigger. As someone who has eaten their way through the best Greek restaurants in New York, Chicago, and Sydney — and survived actual Greece (Mykonos, Athens, Santorini, the full pilgrimage) — I like to think I know what I'm talking about. High bar? Maybe. Relevant? Absolutely. The server was a solid guy — friendly, knew the menu cold, and walked me through everything without being pushy. Good start. I ordered the octopus and the tenderloin kebab, which was the day's special. The octopus arrived quickly, which was great — except I was expecting a beautifully charred, generously portioned grilled situation. What showed up instead was octopus swimming in olive oil with onions. Cold. It was fine, but for $20 — nearly the price of an entrée — "fine" doesn't really cut it. I've had higher expectations fulfilled by a can of sardines. Then came the kebab. Presentation-wise, it needed work — one lonely skewer, a few vegetables doing their best, all resting on a bed of rice. I ordered it medium; it arrived well done and under-seasoned. The flavor had potential, but potential doesn't justify $40 when the execution misses by a mile. Grand total: $60 for a meal that left me more philosophical than satisfied. Will I give it a second chance? Maybe — but only if I happen to walk past again and my feet make the decision before my brain does. Until then, the search for the best Greek restaurant continues. Opa… I think.”
