“WHOA WHOA WHOA. No way. We have lived in MSP for just about 2 years now, and we have not found a Mexican restaurant that we need to return to, UNTIL NOW! Thanks big DJ, Brayden, for bringing us there. See you all every week from now on! This place is so awesome! Horchata, sin heilo, GREAT! Mushroom tacos, AMAZING! the Salsas, made fresh. YES! (edit later, YES YES YES!!!) The Elote, charred and proper. I WILL TAKE ANOTHER. The Gringo Queso. NICE! OH JUST WAIT! A Mexican restaurant, The Handcut Fries. BEST FRIES IN ALLTHE TWIN CITIES. They have an amazing menu for vegetarians. Thank you! So cool. Other restaurants don't, and especially Mexican restaurants. Ok, I did find Salsa a la Salsa in Midtown Global Market. That place is really great too, but this place was amazing! And they even price their things normal. For example, a chicken quesadilla costs more than a cheese quesadilla, because you are taking out the chicken. Normal. Other places are not normal. This place isn't normal either. IT IS GREAT! Love this place.”

“Really great experience. We had the guac, chicken fajitas, shrimp fajitas, margaritas, and churros - everything was delicious. The fajitas were especially good, and the churros were a perfect finish. We sat outside and the patio was very nice. Music was at a good level - you could actually talk without shouting, which already puts it ahead of half the places out there. Service was friendly and relaxed without being slow. Would definitely recommend”

“I came from California, came in at 9 when they close at 10, they were kind enough to open the kitchen, weren't rude and served me. This was top notch service you couldn't get in cali, the tacos were actually really damn good with a Mexican coke! 10/10”

“I called in last minute yesterday to see if they had a table for my party consisting of my grandparents and parents. Since family was in town visiting and we needed a handicap accessible table, it meant a lot to me that the person who answered the phone was so warm, welcoming, and happy to help (she even made an effort to check in on us and say goodbye at the end of our meal)! Additionally, our server was awesome, he accommodated the picky eaters and made time for us despite how busy he seemed to be. The food at all of the Nico’s spots is always amazing to me, as well as the atmosphere and service. However, this location clearly makes an extra effort to be understanding and helpful! Thank you Nico’s for giving my grandparents a fun experience in Minneapolis this weekend!”

“It’s cute place. Crowded. I had a reservation that help but the food was very blends, the barboca way too chewy, chicken fajita also wasn’t that good and do not order the elote the quality of corn and taste both just waste of money. Also the chips were way too hard and salsa not that good. Service was good but not place to go for twice :|”
