The Hummingbird Way is a Seafood restaurant in the Oakleigh neighborhood of Mobile.
“My girlfriend treated me to a birthday lunch at The Hummingbird Way, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We had the opportunity to enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and main courses, and every dish was exceptional. The cocktails were creative and expertly crafted, the appetizers were flavorful and beautifully presented, and the entrées were memorable and perfectly executed. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone we encountered was knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and hospitality they provide. Their recommendations and attention to detail elevated the entire meal. I also loved the character and atmosphere of the restaurant. The space feels warm, welcoming, and full of personality, making it a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. A special thank you to Chef Jim Smith for creating such an impressive menu. His talent and creativity are evident in every course, and it’s clear why The Hummingbird Way has earned such a great reputation. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.”
“Absolute gem hidden away in what looks like a fairly residential neighborhood. Bisque was phenomenal, and the snapper had a shockingly good mapo eggplant sauce to accompany it. Great service and drinks as well, can’t wait to come back again.”
“This place was a jewel! Joe our server was fantastic! The food was incredible and the place was bright and delightful. Although the food was upscale the vibe was super friendly and approachable!! Go here!”
“Absolutely delicious seafood. Raw oysters, fried shrimp and oysters, and beautiful scallops. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked and drinks were fun we could barely decide which ones to get the options were so enticing! We will 100% be returning and bringing friends and family along.”
“The owner seemed nice but this was a terrible experience. It is genuinely fake fine dining(just expensive).Literally just had lunch. 1 glass wine, 1 starter salad(14), 1 very small portion of jambalaya(38) which had 4 shrimp and 6 oysters, totalling 75 dollars. First, the food wad mediocre, a salad with toppings that all add up to tasting like the vinegar its saturated in. The jambalaya was sitting up tall in a cast iron to ensure the mild flavored dish was at least 25 percent total mush. I still would not have left a review had I not been served water that smelled literally like a dog. I pointed it out to our server to smelled it, grimaced, and said sorry... I then stood up waiting at my table for 10 minutes for someone to take my payment while whe was chatting up another customer. I will never return. This was me and my wife's First day out after having out baby and her birthday.”
