“Had a wonderful experience at Oncle Lee Kao Restaurant tonight. I reserved the restaurant for a surprise anniversary celebration for more than 40 guests, and from the very first email to the end of the evening, everything was impeccable. The team made the entire planning process so simple and stress-free. They thought of every detail, even the smallest ones, and were incredibly accommodating throughout. A huge thank you to the amazing staff, especially Marie, Jean-Français, Nora and more (as there are other staff members also, but with my red fish memory, I can’t remember them). They are truly exceptional! Everyone was so friendly and attentive, making sure that we had a memorable and enjoyable evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful and actually even more stunning than the photos. The ambiance is elegant, warm, and inviting, making it a perfect setting for a special occasion. The food was very good and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and I found the pricing to be very fair for the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. A few dishes were a little salty for my taste, although I do tend to prefer lighter seasoning. As an Asian myself, I found it interesting and enjoyable how many dishes incorporated different textures, adding a pleasant crunchiness to each bite. My favorite dishes were definitely the octopus skewer and the fried rice. One suggestion for future group events would be to provide a printed group menu at the table. Several guests asked about the menu during the evening, and I had to refer back to my emails to answer their questions. I think having a physical menu available would be greatly appreciated by future groups. Overall, thank you so much to the entire Oncle Lee team. We had an incredible evening and created wonderful memories. I would gladly recommend this restaurant for both special events and a great dining experience.”
“The 5-spice duck platter is a must-try here — it was delicious, flavourful, and incredibly tender. The portion size was also great for the price. We also tried the spicy noodles and sautéed vegetables, which were both very tasty and perfect for sharing. For dessert, we had the coconut, passion fruit, mango, and tapioca dessert, and it was amazing! Sweet, refreshing, and light — the perfect way to end the meal. The staff were very friendly, and we’ll definitely be coming back.”
“Came here on an unsuspecting Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised by not only the food but the excellent service. Our waitress (whose name I regrettably did not ask :( ) was so kind and attentive, even though she was the only one for the night and it was fairly busy she did a fantastic job. The Litchi martini and house beer was excellent as well as our starters! We loved the fried rice and mapo tofu as well. Super cute date spot”
“Modern Chinese cuisine that balances Asian influence with a modern flair. Chef Lee Andersen lives up to his reputation. The plates were nicely served. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was matched the food, traditional with a modern twist. We had the following and have nothing negative to say: - Devil's eggs - Tofu dip, fresh roe, baby gem - Wonton soup, shrimps, pork - Sauted green, garlic, ginger, chili - Whole sea bream, Sichuan sauce - Sweet and sour eggplant, peanuts, bacon - Green papaya salad, chili crisp - Duck tartare, truffle, eggroll - 5 spice duck platter - Crispy chow mein, seafood, bacon - Coconut, passion fruit, mango, tapioca - (drink) Duck-fat Manhattan Although every dish was very flavourful I think I would especially recommend the tofu dip, the 5 spice duck platter and the Crispy chow mein. The coconut tapioca dessert was excellent as well.”
“Firstly, I love the ambiance inside this restaurant, the red lamp is my favourite part. Second, the service was super friendly, our server was so sweet and they made sure that we have a good time and enjoy our food. Last but not least, the food was indeed delicious, I recommended to try plateau de canard aux 5 épices. We also got fried rice and also eggplant veggie to eat with it. Very delicious, gave us different unique taste. Also the drinks were good. Overall, I recommend everyone to try it if you are looking for a restaurant for a night out with your friends and family.🏮🌸”
