“We made last minute reservations last night for our 14th wedding anniversary dinner and werw blown away! A friend recommended we try this hidden jewel for our special occasion. As soon as we arrived we were impressed! From the greeting- to the professionalism and friendliness... all the way to the best shrimp we have had away from the gulf beaches! I left a note on our online reservation that we were coming for our anniversary and they took the time to write out a card and place it on our table before we were seated! The whole staff signed it! Wow! We were served by Kelsey and Diana and cannot say enough about their remarkable service! We look so forward to dining here more often! I can't forget to say how perfectly all our food was cooked! We shared the whipped feta, and sweet and spicy shrimp... then the lobster and shrimp ravioli and red snapper special. Bravo!”
“I recently tried the burger here and had decent feelings. The quality of the meat was excellent, cooked perfectly, and you could taste a subtle hint of truffle that added a nice touch. The ingredients felt fresh and high quality overall. However, the burger was a bit dry, and I think it would benefit from a signature sauce to bring everything together and add more flavor. The place itself is nice and staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a good place to eat.”
“The food was not spectacular for the price. The Chicken Alfredo was poorly seasoned and the chocolate cake was more of a bitter-dark chocolate cake and not very sweet. Our server was a jewel, but I don’t think I’ll return. The Mediterranean plate was a large portion so enough to share at the table.”
“The food has always been good, let’s start with being positive. The menu offers something for everyone and includes a lot of favorites that have remained unchanged. If you haven't been, you should give it a try. Sadly, for us, it seems to have outgrown its neighborhood charm and was less inviting and warm than previous visits. We went early on Christmas Eve with a reservation. The hostess was less than welcoming and really set the tone for the experience. The Happy Hour menu was not available even though it was a weekday and yet they still presented it on the table, the reason given by the server was they were “too busy”. It’s hard to understand that rational other than they just wanted more revenue for the holiday, everyone orders the same drinks but are just paying more. Don’t present the menu if you don’t offer the items. Prices are noticeably higher than we have seen in the past. We felt rushed by the staff to turn tables that may have just been for Christmas but none the less not a great experience. Ultimately, it’s lost its appeal, but it is good to see it thrive and succeed, but it has come at a price. We will likely pass on our next ride through the area.”
“I went to Southside Grill in Nashville with a friend, hoping for a positive dinner experience. We ordered two creamy tomato soups, a filet mignon (medium-well), and the pistachio chicken. Instead, we were served what felt like an early warning sign from the kitchen gods: soup that was both extremely salty and lumpy, a bold texture choice I did not see coming. Things only got more interesting. My “medium-well” filet arrived medium-rare, looking like it sprinted past the grill on its way to my plate. The asparagus tasted like someone tried to reinvent shoelaces as a vegetable, and the mashed potatoes were so dry they could probably qualify as building material. My friend’s pistachio chicken came out with a burnt pistachio crust and chicken so dry it might’ve been sitting through the Great Dust Bowl. I managed to eat half my dish before admitting defeat. I let the waiter know, and the manager came over. Here’s the twist: she was absolutely wonderful, gracious, polite, and genuinely apologetic. She offered a 50% discount, which was kind, but honestly, her attitude was the best thing I experienced all night.”
