“Marcos was an amazing server. The food and service were spot on with a menu creativity that really impressed us thoroughly! We received an extra birthday treat. We will be back.”
“Tenn makes me so glad to be a local! TENN at the Holston House Nashville (118 7th Ave N) deserves every bit of praise for creating such a welcoming, soul-warming spot right in the heart of downtown. The space itself is a highlight: impeccably clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The bar seating stands out—those cushy, spotless chairs offer excellent back support that feels genuinely comfortable, no digging or awkward angles, making it easy to linger and relax. The menu is a standout: crisp, clean layout, beautifully organized, with a smart selection that makes choosing effortless yet exciting. I went with the avocado toast, recommended by the charming Rosario Marino—an Italian from Chicago who moved his whole family to Nashville out of pure love for his wife and her roots here. What a sweet story, and it made the recommendation feel extra special. The toast was perfectly executed—fresh, flavorful, and just what I needed. But the real magic is the team. Gladys (or Gladyse—either way, unforgettable) behind the counter is absolutely beautiful inside and out: warm, inviting, with a radiant smile that lights up the room. She's helpfully bilingual and went above and beyond, literally walking around the counter to engage personally with a couple from Spain, making them feel seen and cared for. Pure hospitality brilliance. Then there's Melanie—who stole my heart the moment we met. Now back at the hotel as hostess while pursuing her Master's in Food and Beverage, she's intelligent, gracious, and embodies that perfect blend of professionalism and genuine warmth. The entire team feels generous with their energy, offering little extra touches of "love" that warm the tummy and fill the soul—whether through thoughtful recommendations, attentive service, or just that authentic Southern (with global heart) welcome. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a gathering spot that leaves you feeling nourished on every level. The staff here—Rosario, Gladys, Melanie—are beautiful, intelligent, and deeply hospitable. They make TENN feel like a home away from home in Music City. Highly recommend stopping in, whether you're staying at Holston House or just passing through downtown. Five stars for the vibe, the food, and especially the people. (And hey, if mentioning them earns each a $10 shout-out bonus—consider this my enthusiastic contribution to the team fund!)”
“Best Breakfast and Dinner they are very accommodating with the menu if you want to swap out something. The breakfast tea was also excellent. Dinner was a bit different with Halloween themed menu. Blood scattered steak plate was delicious. Atmosphere would of got a 5 it there was more comfortable seating. And was a bit pricey for breakfast and for dinner.”
“Great brunch a la cart menu with some good spins on classic dishes. Flavors were all there and the dishes had great presentation. Service was super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended brunch spot!”
“Great freshly prepared breakfast. A nice menu with southern inspired American meals. The croissant bae Sammie was loaded with food and more than we could eat. Quite a hefty sandwich! And service was quick even though busy. Plus the latte was perfectly prepared and delicious. I was able to walk in off the street and order at the counter.”
