Nirvana Indian Cuisine

“My boyfriend and I love this restaurant! We usually order takeout, but tonight we dined in. Dinner was served to us by Sherwyn, and he was fantastic. We had the Nirvana special (hot), chicken saag (med), and samosa chaat with Nirvana and garlic naan. Our bellies are full and we have plenty of leftovers to enjoy. We look forward to coming back and trying out more things on the menu!”

“I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it has consistently been one of my family and I’s favorite place to eat. It’s become a go-to that never disappoints. The quality of the food is always excellent. I always end up ordering the butter chicken, but whenever I try anything new, it’s just as good. You can really they really care about quality and authenticity. What keeps us coming back is the service. The staff is always welcoming and remembers regulars. Special shoutout to Sherwyn, who’s our usually waiter. He is always very kind, and on our most recent visit he went out of his way to get me a mango lassi even though they were out. That level of care and effort really stands out and shows the kind environment they’ve created. This is a place I’ll keep coming back to and would easily say it’s some of the best Indian food in New Orleans.”

“Food was out of this world, a burst of flavor. It felt so authentic and I could feel the love in each meal. My favorite was the Flag of India dish, it was a beautiful representation of India and the colors/ flavor was simply art. Also shout out to the best server Sherwyn, he recommended the dish and he was lovely. He made the experience even better. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

“We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was delicious and came out quickly. What really made our night was our server, Shrewyn, he was super friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to get service that good! We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

“Came here for lunch one day. The food was solid overall with minor areas for improvement like maybe more yogurt or chutney in the chaats. The service was kind but the restaurant seemed short staffed. Didn’t get a drink refill until after the meal was over and we had to ask. Also, we were sat at a table without a card with the specials on it and were not informed of it which was unfortunate because we would have ordered those instead had we known. Would be down to dine here again and try something different. Overall, solid Indian food if you’re craving it!”
