“Brought my mother to Osteria Lupo (it was her first time), and she said she had the best lunch. The servers, hosts, chefs were friendly, kind, accommodating. The special dessert was the best dessert we ever had. It was a devil’s cake with lychee gel & raspberries and jasmine ice cream. I hope it makes it on the regular menu!”
“Honestly one of the best meals of my life. Great service. Unbelievably great food. Go here now! The margarita pizza was exceptional as well as the short rib pasta dish. My wife loved the scallops and beet salad.”
“An absolutely lovely dinner at Osterio Lupo. We chose the blind tasting menu for two, and not a single dish disappointed. I was a little worried midway that we would not be able to finish everything but they offer to box up after each course.”
“This place has been on my radar for a while and was excited to try it out. Started with Arancini and the Green salad. The green salad was refreshing, a bit over salted but good. Arancini was crispy and flavorful but a bit underseasoned. My companion had the crab pasta, which was strange, very bland, with lots of onions and no visible crab (definitely would not order again) However I had the lobster agnolotti and it was amazing! One of those dishes, i will keep coming back for, very rich, a fair amount of lobster claw and seasoned to perfection. It had a nice spice kick and I savored every bite. The salad and the agnolotti was great enough to come back and try other items.”
“We wanted to like this. Came with a group of five from Ohio and California. Three of us couldn’t eat half our portions because it was intolerably spicy. It wasn’t worth acid reflux! The sides were the best part: roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious, as was the squash with cheese and greens. We don’t recommend the mains as mentioned above. We had 3 pastas with crab, a gnocchette and short ribs. Out of politeness we took the leftovers home. The pizza was very good and not spicy. I was jealous that I didn’t order that. The scallops were praised by the fifth person in our group. The desserts were decent, chocolate torte and grasshopper. The main courses were a major disappointment, sorry to say. Service was kind and friendly. As others have said, this seems to have little to do with the Italian cooking we all know and love. I’ve been all over Italy and the food isn’t this spicy. It seems this place is going for some sort of hybrid cuisine that combines elements of Italian ingredients with New Orleans spiciness. I found it strange, disappointing, and not to my liking. I wouldn’t go back.”
