Inspired by the New Orleans' Marigny neighborhood, The Elysian Bar fuses its New World location with Old World roots. Hotel Peter & Paul has partnered with the team from James Beard nominated Bacchanal to offer niche American wines, specialty cocktails, aperitivo cocktails and locally sourced and seasonally driven cuisine from Chef Kyle Focken. Guests and locals alike are able to enjoy the offerings in the heart of the hotel inside the Rectory or outdoors in the Rectory's courtyard.
“Came here for the first time with friends for a drink and small bites. Absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the architecture, the courtyard was delightful, the drinks were great, and the bartenders were super friendly. Looking forward to coming back!”
“Delicate and delicious plates with friendly and attentive staff. Special interior design makes for a delightfully eclectic ambiance that will transport you back in time. Highly recommend the experience. We had the Pork Chop and the Brick Chicken. The pork chop was beautifully seasoned and the brick chicken was wonderfully tender.”
“The Elysian Bar was truly one of the most beautiful places I visited during my trip. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning—elegant, charming, and the kind of place where you instantly feel like you’ve stepped somewhere special. What made the experience even more memorable was the kindness of the staff. I was traveling solo, and the hostess went out of her way to make me feel so welcomed. She even offered to take some photos for me, which meant so much and made the moment feel really special. And the coffee was incredible—honestly some of the best I had while I was in the city. It’s rare to find a place that is both beautiful and filled with such genuine hospitality. I’m so grateful for the experience and will absolutely remember my time there. ☕”
“One of my favorite bars I've been to. Gorgeous vintage classy interior with low lighting. Really unique bar and outstanding cocktails. The cocktails were all very unique and fresh and really intricate, the bartenders were super talented and the presentation was excellent. Bartenders were awesome and quick despite the drinks all being more complex. Prices were good, especially among all the $20 drink places these days. Stunning property.”
“This place is everything you’d want for a cute dining experience. Chic space, well decorated and everything is so well curated to make the space incredibly inviting. The food…. holy it all really blew my mind. The honey butter I could eat for the rest of my life and the salmon roe on the crudo literally burst in your mouth. This is so far the best place I’ve eaten in New Orleans! Go here for sure.”
