“This was our first visit to Vyoone's, but we will definitely be back! The front of the restaurant is very unassuming, but as you walk in, the decor gives the feeling of leaving the city behind and entering a different experience. The food was excellent, drinks were tasty and creative, service was polite, professional, and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. We enjoyed the Duck l'Orange and the BBQ Shrimp and Grits-both were outstanding. The duck was cooked perfectly, the mushroom bread pudding was a very interesting accompaniment, and the sauce brought it together, it was the perfect balance to the savory duck and earthy bread pudding. The BBQ Shrimp and Grits was also outstanding - cooked perfectly, the grits were great-not too creamy but just right, and the sauce was a great balance. The table next to us ordered the onion soup - it looked incredible, but we wanted to have room for our dinners. The dessert menu also looked great, but we were so full we couldn't get dessert, but we will be back for sure!”
“Try everything award winning on their menu and you can’t go wrong. The French onion, the shrimp and oysters were all superb. We had an early table to catch a show and our server was friendly, attentive and able to accommodate well. If ever back in town, I will be back!!”
“Very comfortable, chef owner and managed restaurant. Food was excellent. Both crafty and non pretentious. Start with the seafood beignets. The oysters are fabulous. And even a hamburger. Chat with the owner chef. She is inspiring.”
“As someone who lived in NOLA for years, I've got a list of favorite spots - and that list just expanded to include Vyoone's. With a late arrival to the Warehouse District, a quick perusal of Google maps brought me to a cozy yet contemporary spot with warm lighting. The menu had so many intriguing options, I had trouble deciding what to order...do not miss the French onion soup (OMG). I loved Vyoone's so much that I brought my Saints game day krewe here after the Saints win over the Panthers (WHO DAT!). We were lucky to get bar seating and everyone agreed, this restaurant is top-notch for creative dishes made from fresh ingredients, excellent cocktails, and attentive and friendly service. Bonus: enjoying the hospitality and food at Vyoone's also means you are supporting a Canadian-French African-American Cherokee-Indian woman-owned small business. Do yourself a favor while in NO and seek out the smaller spots that might not have the more recognizable names - you won't regret it.”
“The owner and staff were great and very welcoming. Tyson was out waiter. He was knowledgeable and helpful. We were celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday. This was our first visit and really enjoyed the ambience. We sat out in the courtyard. As for the food, bbq shrimp was great and sauce is spicy, Brussels sprouts were delicious, French onion soup(first time) pretty good, Crab cakes were delicious, the two different pasta were good, but a little too salty for our loving. We did not like the peach upside down cake. Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend.”
