“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes 🙌 An Absolute Gem in Brooklyn! Faultless Family Feast. We had an incredible family lunch at Antidote today, and every single dish blew us away! The flavors are bold, authentic, and perfectly executed. My wife was absolutely in love with her meal—her two hands-down favorites were the **Dandan noodles**, which had the perfect balance of spice and rich sesame depth, and the **Kungpao chicken**, packed with incredible flavor and just the right kick. For me, the highlights were definitely the **Feihong fries** (unbelievably crispy and uniquely seasoned) and the **Numbing ribeye cubes**, which were exceptionally tender and delivered that classic, addictive Sichuan peppercorn buzz. Our son completely devoured the **Pan fried dumplings**, which were perfectly golden and juicy, and paired them happily with the **Jasmine rice**. My father-in-law also joined us and happily tasted a bit of everything on the table—he loved it all and thoroughly enjoyed sampling the dishes alongside his **Puer black tea**. Even the rest of our massive spread was phenomenal. The **Leshan chicken** and **Sichuan chili fried chicken** were incredibly flavorful with fantastic texture. The **Shredded beef with green pepper** and the **Fried rice w/ chicken** were comforting, savory, and cooked to perfection. To balance out all the heat, the **Bok Choy with garlic** was beautifully fresh and crisp. In addition to the hot tea, we also had a Coca-Cola and a Ginger ale to round out the meal. From the excellent service by Cong A. to the immaculate food, Antidote is an absolute home run. We will definitely be back regularly!”
“loved this place, went there during lunch hours. Quiet atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. The dandan noodles were definitely my favorite ! I’d come back just for them”
“Some meals just hit every note without trying too hard, and Antidote in Brooklyn is one of those places where every dish feels like it was thought through and executed with real care. Antidote focuses on modern Chinese cuisine with a refined, slightly creative edge, but nothing feels forced. It’s rooted in traditional flavors, just presented in a way that feels current and intentional without losing what makes the dishes work in the first place. The wood ear mushroom dish was one of the best starters on the table. Crisp, slightly chewy, and tossed in a light dressing that brought out a clean acidity with just enough heat. It wakes up your palate immediately. The mushroom ravioli was a standout and something you don’t come across often. Soft, delicate, and filled with a deep, earthy mushroom flavor that really comes through in every bite. It’s comforting but still feels elevated. The chicken mushroom dumplings were just as strong. The wrappers were thin and tender, packed with flavorful filling, and finished simply with scallions and sauce that complemented everything without overpowering it. The kung pao dish was exactly what you want it to be. Tender pieces of chicken, roasted peanuts, and dried chilies coming together with that perfect balance of heat, sweetness, and savory depth. Nothing overdone, just really well executed. The braised short rib was rich, slow-cooked, and incredibly satisfying. The meat was tender and coated in a deep, glossy sauce with mushrooms that absorbed all that flavor. It’s the kind of dish that feels comforting but still polished. The sichuan cold dish added another layer to the meal. Light, refreshing, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting without overwhelming the table. And the raspberry cheesecake to finish was excellent. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet, with a bright raspberry layer that kept it from feeling heavy. The service matched the food perfectly. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. Everything flowed naturally, which makes a big difference over the course of a full meal. As someone who spends a lot of time in Brooklyn for real estate, I’m always paying attention to places that add something meaningful to a neighborhood. Antidote is definitely one of those spots. It’s the kind of restaurant you come back to because it consistently delivers across the board. If you’re looking for modern Chinese cuisine in Brooklyn that balances traditional flavors with a thoughtful, updated approach, Antidote is absolutely worth a visit.”
“Antidote was one of those dining experiences where every single dish surprised us in the best way. The food is incredibly flavorful, elevated Sichuan cuisine with bold, layered flavors that really stand out. We ordered the Fei Hong fries, mushroom ravioli in truffle chili sauce, caramel glaze eggplants, Kung Pao chicken, and the XO sauce prawns with glass noodles, and honestly every dish was fantastic. The caramelized eggplants and the mushroom ravioli were especially memorable - rich, balanced, and packed with flavor. The space itself is beautiful — intimate and cozy, with a lovely glass-roof area filled with plants that gives the restaurant a really warm atmosphere. It feels like the perfect spot for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. The staff were also wonderful. They guided us through the menu and gave spot-on recommendations for both food and drinks, which made the whole experience even better! I already caught myself thinking about the food again the next day, always the sign of a great meal. Highly recommend checking this place out if you love bold, flavorful Chinese cuisine!”
