“I’ve been to Apotheke NoMad multiple times across seasons. In the summer, the roof opens with amazing views of the Empire State Building, and in the winter, the glass enclosure still gives you that same skyline experience and it’s super cozy. I brought my parents and aunt here during our Christmas trip to the city, and it was the highlight of our whole day. We came for cocktails, and everything exceeded expectations. The drinks were delicious and creative and the view from our table was incredible. Over a month later, my family is still talking about it and asking when we will go back! Tuan, the general manager, came over to check in on us and was very attentive, and the rest of the staff made us feel so well taken care of. The service really stood out. Highly recommend whether you live in New York or are visiting. Just a great experience all around.”
“Tucked away in NoMad, Apotheke is a lovely little spot for a relaxed evening out. We went on a Friday and the vibe was easygoing and pleasant. I went with a few friends and we could actually sit down and chat instead of yelling over blaring music. The cute enclosed garden rooftop offers a peek at the city view. Their cocktail menu is fabulous! Plenty of delicious options to sip on while you unwind! While I still maintain that I am a bigger fan of their Chinatown location, I genuinely enjoyed my time here too. Depends on your preference. If you are looking for a more fun and groovy vibe, the other location would be more ideal. But if you are in the neighborhood and looking for some fancy cocktails and a chill vibe, it is definitely worth a stop.”
“An interesting and somewhat inspired cocktail program (one cocktail was basically a last word but with mint! And a mezcal Bloody Mary! So creative and pushing the limits on what cocktailing is) that was heavily hindered by its confused atmosphere and horrible and frankly tacky service. The music the entire night went from psychedelic Bollywood to Fleetwood Mac to Frank Ocean to coastal 70s Yacht Rock. To say the vibe was confused is generous. Beyond that, to add a 20% tip on all bills over $100 when cocktails are $24 each (so AKA the easiest threshold known to man to reach) is incredibly tacky and left an awful taste in my mouth. This poor excuse for an elevated experience was further cheapened by the horrible service (took 15 minutes to get our first cocktail order in, an extra 45 to get the second, and then having to get the host to grab us the check 25 minutes later). I get it you’re the only server on the floor, but let’s put some pep in your step and learn to hustle. Will not be back, and do not recommend…. Especially when so many other better cocktail bars exist in the city.”
