Bangkok Supper Club is the latest restaurant from the group behind NoHo Thai favorite, Fish Cheeks, serving inventive, contemporary Thai cuisine inspired by the conviviality and electric flavors of Bangkok's late-night food scene. A charcoal grill is the centerpiece of the open kitchen and Bangkok-born chef Max Wittawat's menu of vibrant, shareable plates, from whole branzino with Nam Jin seafood sauce, fried sticky rice-stuffed chicken wings and scallop ceviche with spicy watermelon granita. Together with deliciously balanced, innovative cocktails, soft lighting and an earth-toned, inviting design, the menu transports guests to Bangkok after hours, immersing them in a lively, thoroughly modern dining experience.
“Hardly to describe how great this place was! A unique set of menus, which carefully curated with such creative throughout their options. Everything carefully designed with an authentic taste of Thai food. Hands down to my server/Sasha who is providing a top notch service. Especially, attentive to detail with an ice cream treat for my birthday. AMAZING OVERALL!!”
“An unforgettable journey through Thai flavors. We had the tasting menu and it was perfect. I especially enjoyed the first 3 dishes (uni and crab tartlet, foie gras duck breast wrap, and the goi) it was like a trip through the elements: water, earth and fire, respectively; marvelous. Also. the Hokkaido scallop ceviche, which had chili watermelon granita, was extraordinary! like a party in my mouth, so fun! Service was excellent, kind and clear. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.”
“I’ve tried well over 100 Thai restaurants, and this one genuinely surprised me. Many people describe it as “modern” or “fusion” Thai, but to me, it actually captures the essence of Thai cuisine especially in its precision of seasoning and its deep respect for ingredient freshness. Every dish feels intentional, balanced, and alive. What made the experience even more memorable was the chef. He is incredibly humble, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable about food. I chose to celebrate my birthday here, and he took the time to personally discuss flavors and ingredients with me it felt truly special. We even took a photo together at the end. Now, let’s talk about the highlights: - Food & Cocktails: Absolutely the stars of the night. - Steak: A must-order. Perfectly executed. - Watermelon Scallop Salad: Unexpected and stunning. The scallop was incredibly tender, paired with a spicy icy element that creates a striking contrast almost like fire and ice in one bite. - Smoky Cocktail: This drink was unforgettable. One sip felt like time-traveling—back to a quiet countryside, with damp wood slowly burning in the background. Deep, atmospheric, and beautifully crafted. The restaurant itself is hard to book, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. For dessert, I tried the coconut cake. It’s made with very young coconut, giving it a light, delicate flavor rather than a heavy, sugary profile. If you prefer bold sweetness, this might not be for you but if you appreciate natural flavors, it’s exceptional. The coconut flesh was incredibly soft and fresh, unlike the firmer texture you often find elsewhere. The chef also mentioned that many ingredients and even tableware are imported directly from Thailand, which really speaks to their dedication and authenticity. This is truly a hidden gem in New York. If you care about food on a deeper level, you need to experience this place. I’ll definitely be back for the tasting menu stay tuned.”
“I had an incredible dinner at Bangkok Supper Club and can’t stop thinking about it. The warm welcome from the staff immediately made the experience feel special. The space is beautifully decorated — modern, cozy, and perfect for a night out. Every dish was full of bold Thai flavors with a refined touch. The pork jowl and seabass curry were absolute standouts. Even the small details, like plating and timing, were spot-on. The cocktails were balanced and refreshing, not overly sweet. What impressed me most was how attentive and friendly the service Mint she amazing. It felt like the team really cared about our experience including Chef max came to touch us table was my mom Birthday night unforgettable. Easily one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve visited in New York.”
“The sweet potato ice cream, sticky rice stuffed chicken wings, and the beef tongue were great and creative. However the entree’s flavor profile and balance was confusing a bit off. The sea bass curry dish didn’t quite work as well. The grilled chicken dish was well-cooked but didn’t really impress. For the price charged, more is to be expected Apart from the entrees, we’ve had a great dinner!.”
