“Came with a few friends and we all loved it. We split the vegetable dumplings, the sauce was great. Could be more for the price. We each got pad Thai and the portion is good. Service was fine, nothing notable, a bit slow. Place is pretty and quiet but a bit dark.”

“Not the best, but far from the worst. The food is overall pretty good compared to many other popular Thai places in NYC, it's a NYC 5* but a personal 6.5/10. The flavors are there for the most part, but it's not intense enough (understandable) and unfortunately it's American level spicy). The cost:quanity ratio could be a bit better, but nothing egregious for Manhattan standards. The service is excellent overall and there are absolutely 0 complaints there. The staff is very attentive despite for many people were there on a Friday night. The atmosphere is intimate and not to loud, but you need to talk a little bit louder because of how close you are to other people and the music volume. But the ambiance makes it a great date night spot. I can see myself coming back for the service and the vibes overall.”

“My friend and I made reservations at 6:30pm on a Friday. We had intended to go for restaurant week, and the website said that Sabai was participating. However, when I got to the restaurant, I was told that they were not participating. When I brought this up to the staff, they did comment that several people made the same mistake earlier in the week. If that was the case, then why not correct the restaurant week website, or make it very obvious on your website that you aren't participating? Both of us were starving, and I had put in a birthday request at the restaurant, so we decided to stay. The ambiance is classy, and this would be a great spot for a business dinner or date night. I ordered a massaman curry with roti and chicken ($29), and my friend ordered the chuchi shrimp ($30) and curry puff ($16). Prices are a bit above average for the portion size, but justified by the area. We both enjoyed our dishes; the flavors were on point! Then, for my friend's birthday, they gave us mochi ice cream and a card signed by the staff! That was a nice touch that overrode the restaurant week debacle. Service was fantastic. There were multiple check backs and water refills. I would recommend Sabai Thai for a fancy night out, and I would return to try other dishes.”

“The lunch menu was pretty good. The salad had an amazing dressing. Really love the crunch of the crispy garlic shrimp. The curry made from coconut was really savory. Choose padthai over the thick noodles, not much flavor.”

“Fantastic Thai food that just hits every time. We came as a large group and got to try a bunch of everything. Curry and duck were delicious, drinks were spot on. My least favorite was the branzino. It may be a personal preference. However, only one unisex bathroom caused a bit of a wait for this size establishment. The host was very attentive and took care of us.”
